My pops lives in St. Louis like 3 minutes away from Ferguson.
I was talking to him on the phone last week and he was describing the situation from ground-zero perspective. In short:
Shits about to get live.
White folks stalking up on ammo.
Blatant racism on both sides.
This shits about to send St Louis back 60 years in terms of race relations. Lol
I almost wish I was down there to witness this for myself and analyze the drama with the mindset of a neutral sociologist.

I wish those people could see through all the bullshit. This whole thing has been made out to be a race issue from the start. Everything from the media blackout on the actual facts proving the self defense, to the aggressive treatment of the media on the ground. The list goes on and on.

Everyone in the media wants it. People are more likely to read/watch something if the news angers them. With a race issue you have pissed off people on both sides. You have blacks/liberals angry about police brutality, and then on the other side you have whites/conservatives angry that the blacks are angry.
More anger = more viewers = more $$$.
It's not that the media wants to start a race war. But they would love to cover a race war. The major news channels (cnn, msnbc, fox, ect) ratings stink anytime there is not a major story to cover. There are thousands of random Youtube channels that get more views than these media outlets. So the networks thrive on this kind of shit.
Now with that out of the way, these news channels feed on whatever crumbs they are given. They are easy to control, and very predictable. Journalism is all but dead now a days. They report whatever they are told to report on.

So with all that said, it's easy for the "conspiracy" to take place. Withhold critical reports, media blackouts, misinformation, ect. All they do is "report" what they are told to report on. Think AP wire. Where do you suppose those reports come from? Does the government (or parts of it) want a race war? Probably not. But they do want distractions. And distractions are easy to orchestrate.
