I was pretty sure Linkshare was scamming me until a massive $30 check showed up in my mailbox. Amazed...

All commissions from iPhone apps...

I will say though... their stats suck really bad still

In related news, I occasionally have to sign up for off-the-wall affiliate networks just to find a few extra "Recommended Products" to throw into some of the more off-the-wall "Viral .pdfs" I blast out to the interwebz.

So every once in a while I'll get, like, a $70 check from some weird company I've never heard of and can only assume it's from that. Some of them I haven't even cashed because I'm paranoid that one day it may not be an affiliate company at all, but some new nigerian scam haha.

I get checks for a few hundred bucks a month from linkshare and CJ and half the time I have no idea what they are for. Just some organic traffic out there somewhere.

Yeah, weird thing about those viral pdfs or old newsletters you have out there - you never know how people are finding you. I'll take their money, though. The tiny checks from weird networks are still cool.
