shoemoney offered a bribe on digitalpoint way back in 2005. Word for word it was -- “if anyone seriously does know a dmoz editor pm me ill pay there lame corruption fee to get in the dmoz… I dont like it but I want to be listed.”
$5 Submissions is dead right, a third world bureaucrat will happily take boatloads of cash, but as soon as you say something in public, your the bad guy. Jeremy has to be banned from Dmoz but none of the editors being so vocal all of the sudden seem to give a flying fuck about cracking down on their own internal corruption.
Its no secret that Dmoz is a shit farm and has been for a very long time. I don't care what editors do and get away with, but perhaps Dmoz's owners should.
As for linkbait, of course, thats why shoemoney's blog is so popular.
