Should I drop my bids?

I have a campaign that's been running a couple days and I want to drop my bids so it can start profiting.

Here are the campaign details.

• Bid = $0.20
• CTR = 4.82%
• Average CPC = $0.14
• Average Position = 2.4
• All Keywords QS = Great
• All Keywords Minimum Bid = $0.05 and $0.04.

How long should I wait to drop my bids in order to keep the same position?

I like to play things safe and go 7 days... but that's just me.
I'm sure someone here knows to the minute when Google's scripts click you over into the next category

I actually like HarjeyJ's approach. A week is a pretty solid time to wait. However, my affiliates often tell me they only wait 2-3 days before they start bid dropping. My advice to you is to just test.

Thanks for the advice. I went ahead and dropped my bids to $0.15. It's looking good so far.

Here are my details as of now.

• CTR = 5.17%
• Average CPC = $0.13
• Average Position = 1.7

I think I'll play it safe and wait a week to drop them any further.

Yesterday it was losing money but today it has a 127% ROI. I'm very happy with that.

I'll see what happens tomorrow.

I agree with engaged on this. It seems to me that a couple weeks is a good time frame for building up your initial QS and campaign history before you start making bid changes.
