Should I Get A Netbook?

I already have an iphone, just wondering if it would be more convenient to use a netbook while travelling.

I travel with a 15" laptop, i dont see what the big deal is, so its a few inches bigger and weighs 700grams more. Big screens FTW

I'm a big fan of the 13.3 screens. It's a nice screen without the required car battery just to power it.

Don't waste your money on a netbook. Keep the iPhone, keep the laptop. Get an iPad?

definately get one. I have one netbook, and love it.. I can use it while I lounge around the house, not with a laptop...

I would advice against iPad.. simply there is no way to hold it with one hand.. never a fan of touch pad keyboard

I have a 10 inch Asus which is fine for websurfing and monitoring my work when I travel. I could never do a full day's work on it though. The Atom processor sucks and the keyboard is too cramped.

thats why it is call "netbook" as for surfing.. nothing else.. lounging beats sitting any day.. my back hurts when sitting for too long... however with netbook, I can surf the web for hours without a problem

I have a netbook and mobile wireless that allows me to do work while being driven down hwy 1 (awesome view) THEN
Have a large laptop 17" dual core for doing work in the hotel at night.

IF, you aredoing lots of traveling and need to check NOT work on your campaigns I can not say enough good things about ASUS new dual-core netbook from amazon/bestbuy/ etc/ They JUST released JAN 10 th 2010. It saved my $$$$$ while at ASW2010 being able to check and tweak campaigns while 2 blocks from my hotel.

I did miss having a large screen and faster processor for work at night, BUT damn glad I was not lugging that on my shoulder in the confernce or the airport.

p.s. HP & ACER suck.. Toshiba and ASUS are tested best betbook.

Netbooks are a lot better than people give them credit for. My last one wasn't great but it was an advent, got the store to change it for a dell inspiron mini. I was skeptical at first, but it has pretty much the same specs, better screen, better keyboard and generally better all round.
They both play WoW smoothly and run photoshop with no problems. Still not convinced about windows 7, but that'll teach me to experiment.
