Show Me Your Guns

Wait, you guys can actually walk around on the street carrying concealed guns legally?

Oh hell yeah. America Fuck Yeah!

In some states we can open carry. Roll around with them on our hips like gunslingers.

Not in California we don't. Getting a CCP out here is next to impossible. I'll carry in my truck when I do road trips or if I'm going somewhere I don't really know the area. Nothing worse than taking a wrong turn and ending up in a less than desirable spot with no way to defend yourself should something bad happen.

an air rifle i bought few weeks ago, it can only kill rabbits or squirrels

No pics handy...

I have a Savage single shot .20 gauge - interesting for plinking stuff. No practical use.

I also have an authentic M1 Garand issued in Belgium in 1944 according to it's serial number. It is mechanically perfect and fires nicely. I LOVE the "TING" when the clip flies out after shot #8.

On top of that...two FN-FAL's, one in traditional wood furniture, one in combat black, both NATO 7.62.

And an AK-74.

The AK and FN-FAL's were built from "parts kits" with some friends as a group metal-working project. Basically the guns were scrapped by some eastern block country. They cut them in half through the receiver twice and throw away a chunk and sell you the rest.

You can then dis-assemble, refinish, and re-assemble with a semi-auto receiver. It's during that process you realize how bat-shiat insance the gun laws in the US are. Literally you have to use 15 or more US made parts for certain interal mechanisms. These are literally identical to the parts you start out with and you have to throw away the "old" parts. Otherwise it's a felony.

I'm jealous, that's an awesome firearm and I'd love to get one. They're just so damn expensive.

Guns... Fuck... Thank satan i live in a country that doesn't fear it's own reflection and feels the need to carry a shooter.

i dont understand carrying concealed guns around in public... if anything thats dangerous

I myself am looking to buy a few guns when i'm older, dessert eagle and an AK-47. What are legitimate prices for a decent AK? I know there are a lot of shitty rip-off ones out there.

I picked up my Romanian GP WASR-10 63 (AK-47) for around $525.00, but that was a couple months ago when gun prices were still really high. Gun and ammo prices have been falling slowly in the past few months so I'd expect to spend about $400.00 - $450.00 (max) on a new AK-47. Check out gunbroker.com and you'll find some pretty good prices. It will also depend on what sort of brand you want. For the more expensive, more well-made brands, you're going to spend more, but I'm completely satisfied with my Romaninan AK. I've never had it malfunction.

When you're buying an AK you have to look out for certain things like a canted front sight, canted gas block, magazine wobble, trigger slap, etc. I'd highly recommend checking for these problems before purchasing it.

im jealous.

whats hilarious though is I can buy all of those no problem but if I get a pistol I have to first get a permit from the cops.

Yup, I've gotta do the same thing. I'd imagine it has to do with how easily you can conceal a pistol; it's pretty tough to conceal a rifle. I agree, it's pretty dumb, but at least NY hasn't banned pistols yet. I've just been too lazy to apply for my pistol permit. Current wait time in my county is about 9 months so I should really apply soon.

If you decide to go with a .308 than please check ou thte FN FNAR, it's better than the Springfield M1A

Get a AR15 and you'll be set for home defense imo. .223 and .308 go thru walls

idk, if I were ever in a situation to defend my home, I think I'd grab my 12 gauge or a .45 pistol, not my AR-15.

Not if you were in the service or can find someone to legally purchase one and transfer it to you.

You can get them here...

CMP Sales - CMP = Civilian Marksmanship Program

You have to register to see the stuff as I recall.
