Smartest movie you've seen

I feel like watching a good movie, the kind of movie that would best suit the category of "mindfucking".
Here are some of the smartest and coolest movies I've seen, and can remember:

- Mulholland Drive
- Layer Cake
- Revolver
- Clockwork Orange
- Sleuth ( 1972 )
- Waking Life
- The usual suspects

Do share your movie knowledge and recommendations, sirs!

How could you forget Lock, Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels, Fight Club, Sin City...

'Frailty' is another good movie that will mess with your head.

Seriously, don't read any reviews or plot highlights past that. Just watch it. Frailty is a complete mindfuck.

I second Frailty. Definitely worth the rental.

I really have to warn you that this movie is a pile of shit. Everyone in it (with the notable exception of David Albert) is a charlatan, and not a word these newage idiots say is to be trusted.

I say this as someone who has done graduate work in physics and the philosophy of physics.

Im aware but I still think its a good movie and a good intro. I have studied physics as a hobby for over 10 years.

boiler room

Boiler Room is your nomination for "smartest movie"? That's a great movie, but at this point I feel like people are just posting their favorite movies.

Primer is a great movie, I also thought Brick was structured so well that it forced you to pay complete attention.

The brainchild from those two directors was pretty ill too, as Scherer said.
