So i got this email from Snap on Tools..

Dear Registrant,

Snap-on Incorporated is the owner of the well-known trademark and trade name
Snap-on. As you are no doubt aware, Snap-on is a trademark used to identify
products, services, activities and events related to Snap-on Incorporated.

It has come to our attention that our trademark Snap-on appears as a metatag,
keyword, visible or hidden text on the web site(s) located at:
http://www.makemoniesonlinetoolstore.com/snap-on
without having obtained prior written authorization from Snap-on Incorporated.

In view of Snap-on Incorporated's rights to the trademark Snap-on, we ask that
you immediately remove all metatags, keywords, visible or hidden texts including
trademark presently appearing on the above-cited web site(s) and any other web
site(s).

Should you require additional information or wish to further discuss this issue,
please do not hesitate to contact the undersigned.

Sincerely,

Snap-on Incorporated
I Do not use a metatag for them or hidden text... Just your standard H1 tag saying snap on tools

And then several amazon links to snap on tools products.. all very positive in nature.

Nothing Shady at all

I am pretty sure I am doing nothing wrong trademark wise and actually do them a huge favor reviewing their products in a good light.

But these bags of doosh keep sending me this email over and over again. Any suggestions perhaps we rank this thread for snap on tools and really piss them off?

Dear Interwebz Masterz,

Please remove all content that relates to any information relating to people, companies, places, things, breeds of dogs, kinds of coins, integers, brands of tennis shoes, planets in the solar system, makes and models of cars, and of course flavors of yogurt.

Surely this information is owned by someone and you're violating interwebz patents and trademarks section 87174328 article b.

Please concur or we shall send you emails from Nigeria.

Love,
Snap On Tools

PS: These guys are dumb and I would ignore them until they send paperwork to a physical address. You can't even litigate over brands as sub-domains and if this type of demand were REMOTELY viable, the web as we know it would implode. Suggesting you can dictate where people do/don't use your brand/company name in their H1 and metatags? Give me a break.

FYI Doug doesn't have the company name in his domain name.

Tell 'em they're a buncha posers and this is the only real Snap-On tool anyone should bother with:

Yes, Snap-On tools are very good tools. You won't find them in any store and they are not cheap. You have to order them directly from Snap-On.

This is my review. Good luck bro.

First 2 responses were wait for a letter before I do anything? Interesting.... I was expecting more screw snap on tools responses.

After all I am not doing anything squidoo or hubpages doesn't do.

Whats unethical or remotely illegal about www.sitename.com/brandname?

PS: That picture is more of a Strap-On Tool.... Not a Snap-On Tool.. But it probably tries to rape you in the ass in a equivalent manner.
