You miss the point -- I don't care if someone saves my Snapchat. If they think it's that valuable then that's great. The whole point is that stuff you don't want gets auto-deleted rather than cluttering up your profile/their page/wherever else you share images, and you're very deliberately sharing things with specific people that isn't something that should be broadcast to the entirety of a network of friends like Facebook (because those people won't care about it / get it, rather than because I wouldn't want the activity/image being broadcast).
The no revenue thing is a nada point, as proven by Facebook and Twitter (in terms of exceeding a $3bn valuation).
Do you think 16 year olds care about whether voting in a survey about sexting is admitted to some form of child porn exchange? It's an anonymous survey in the first place. They're more likely to care about their reputation than probably even consider that having images of an underaged girl is against the law. Certainly school kids didn't care when pictures of girls circulated or whatever, no one was thinking about it then.
Yes, a 20-something would probably care if they had pictures of 15 year old girls naked on their phone, and fear legal consequences. That young kinda demographic however will not, and is extremely unlikely to get prosecuted for it. (That is when you assume that snapchat is used mainly for sexting in the first place... I have several hundred snapchats from 20-30 people that will testify otherwise, although perhaps my entire personal network is an exception, and in fact every single other person using it is just sending people pictures of their dicks out of context, and I'm missing out on the fun).
As someone who regularly receives snapchats from teenagers, let me shed some light on this.
Yeah, part of the initial appeal was the fact that the pictures disappear after a predetermined amount of time. But there was always the risk that the recipient would screenshot it anyway (and the sender would be notified).
But most people seem to snapchat pics not to individuals but to pretty much all their friends. Like a "I'm so bored" picture that just goes to everyone. Nothing significant enough to put on instagram for most people. You just take a pic and select all of your contacts and off it goes.
Snapchat also lets the user make little doodles and shit on their drawings so girls can send people a picture of themselves in a bathing suit and draw red little mermaid hair on themselves and a sea shell bra or some crap like that. This is quite popular with the young demographic.
And anyway, most people aren't going to go as far as snaphacking everyone. The kinds of people that install snapchat hoping girls are going to randomly send them titty pics might be the type to get snaphack, but they are also probably not likely going to receive random titty pictures.
If a chick wants to send a tit pic, she will just send the tit pic. They don't think these things through.

I would like to also add that the snapchat founder dude is a dick and made it so that whoever you snapchat with the most is shown publicly on your "best friends" list that shows the top 3 people you are most active with.

If Snapchat becomes synonymous with child pornography, and teens getting arrested for sending/receiving it, then I'm not sure other companies will want to be associate with that brand.
I don't understand why they're being offered any money at all for Snapchat... Vine had 6 second videos, Instagram/Facebook wanted it but they wouldn't sell (iirc), so Instagram simply came up with its own 15 second video recording feature.
Why doesn't Facebook just develop and add 'FacePalm' (tm) to its app - take a photo, send it to a friend, and it'll disappear in *11* seconds. 8-/
