So google's latest change basically stopped sending me traffic

Something to do with duplicate content penalties apparently. Well I was getting about 1000 clicks or so a month from google on many different search terms now I'm getting like 5 a day. It's cut my traffic in half roughly as this site is a legitimate content blog and has a following that actually comes back again and again. My content is pretty much my own, I'm not swiping it from elsewhere so I don't understand why I'm being penalized.

Is there anything I can do? This is the site Afternoon Tiger

Yeah, the primary keyword was usually at 2 or 3, then one day I noticed it was a 6, now it's at 4. However the primary keyword only used to get me like 10 clicks a month, it's a keyword that might be worth more a few months down the line. What I got most of my clicks from was for people searching for terms that appeared as tags on my posts.

Is it me or are those the most contradicting statements? Either you have duplicate content (meaning you're swiping all content), or you pretty much have your own content (meaning you're swiping some) or you're not swiping content (its all yours). How can you have all three?

Backlingwatch.com gives me like 100 so I dunno what that is, hell I have more than one of my own sites pointing to it and at least one is a pr4.

As for my statement, obviously I didn't draw all the pictures, or edit all the videos I posted. I did however write everything, make some of the videos, and some of the artwork.
 
Tell you what. Give me a blog roll link on the dimi site and I'll help you rank your site.
 
So all 100 of the links that you do have are pointed to the www. of your site but you only have 1 link to the domain.com which is what your site redirects to?

Either way you need more links.

Also you could really benefit from a bookmarking service if you ask me.

Your niche should do well with it.

Your site has good content. As others said, you need more backlinks. Unfortunately Google doesn't seem to give a shit that you have good content when you're a little guy.

So like others said.. more backlinks. Blog comments, social bookmarks. Maybe pay to have one of your better posts 'digged', tweet out your posts, etc etc. All should help.

As others have mentioned you need to build some backlinks. Your site is pretty young so expect to bounce around in the SERPS for a while. Your Youtube channel is pretty strong so why not integrate more of your videos into your site? Google loves video and it will help with your rankings.

The key is to keep adding fresh content and building links. If your strapped for cash a free and easy way to do it is with a site like Posterous. It automatically posts to a network of WEB2.0 sites that you choose, then when you post an article to your site it will automatically post an excerpt (with links) of your articles. It can be a bit tricky setting it up where it will post from WP to Posterous but it can easily be done, PM me if you need some help. Good luck and keep working at it
 
Thanx I will check that out and look into cheapo backling, I am strapped for cash, been driving around on a spare well past the expiration date and waiting for my crap tax refund just to fix it lol.
 
Oh and my youtube channel isn't nearly as good as you might think. Even with 200+ subscribers I can barely get 40 views on a video. I don't know why it is but I have a harder time ranking anything on youtube than I do with google.
