I was going to warn you of the new pro.. I got myself a new 13' pro and it is shitting me real bad with a spinning wheel. I even bought the fucking applecare because of that.. Not my first Mac either... shit happens
people return for less reasons than the spinning wheel. do you live near an apple store? i found apple to very helpful with any problems.
Ok Mac Fags - whats the best mysql tool? I love sqlyog like its a son, I have yet to find a suitable replacement for mac. If you can tell me one that looks like it would work, i'll buy a macbook pro today - - Help.

Navicat for MySQL
File manager, just use Finder, I use it in list mode, and via preference can tweak its appearance some more. You're not gona find an exact match to windows explorer, so its one of those small things that take adjustment.

On the apple forums it is like hundreds of pages long and one thread was closed to start a new one. They say it is some firmware problem... Not really sure.. I plan to talk to them tomorrow as all weekday I was at work where I use a thinkpad...and I wanted to be near the book when I call..

btw I have no clue bout the spinning wheel other than what you discovered, I use a early 2008 white 13.3" Macbook, basically the one with the Peyrene (spelling?) chipset and X3100 graphic chip.
If you plan on walking into the Apple Store (which usually does help btw since they try to resolve the issue there so there's no hold up, or pissy people in the face of potential buyers since everyone is in the same room), go online to Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar find your local apple stop from the drop down and schedule an appointment. That way when you goto walk in you're not told to do the same thing I just showed you there in the store.
I guess what I mean by a "decent file manager" is something that behaves almost like an OS within an OS. Something with enough built in lightweight functions that would allow you to perform hit and run updates on your sites without firing up every ride in Disneyland. Something similar to Total Commander, Directory Opus, etc.
