Check out these cork soakers (http://www.blackle.com)! They claim that all the people using google waste energy because of all the white space on google.com, the monitor has to display and it wastes electricity.

So they have taken google and turned all the white space to black space claiming that it saves a shitload of energy to use http:Blackle - Energy Saving Search instead.

They just took adsense search and made it black. They are 40,000 most popular site on the net today, HOW MUCH YOU THINK THEY ARE MAKING?

Anyone could have made this site in under 30 seconds. MAAAAN!

I had a similar idea few days ago (not including the energy saving stuff etc etc) but I immediately dropped as the domain I wanted to use was taken and wasn't convinced that it was that good...maybe I should rethink about it...

This site has been around for quiet a long time, I remember seeing it awhile back when I was looking into some alternative energy campaigns, its quiet an interesting concept and I bet they are doing quiet well with it.

More and more people are becoming energy efficient aware, that is a tip for future campaigns, keep an eye on it.
