I'd keep on godaddy's ass about this... hopefully they'll get it back to you... tho, if it's been transferred to another registrar it might be difficult... since it was obviously stolen you should get it back at some point, but you might be in for a fight...

I did contact them, they pointed me to icann and icann pointed me to godaddy. I'm trying to get some higher godaddy on email to handle this.

I know, they're hosted at ace-net. I'm already doing anything I can to get his account there cancelled.

ugh, that's not a good sign... just keep trying to get somebody competent at godaddy... maybe you'll get lucky and find somebody that has more than half a brain...

this is the info I'm getting from the whois:
Registration Service Provider: LovingDomains.com

looks like they are a reseller of these people:
ICANN Registrar: UK2 GROUP LTD.
The UK2 Group | UK2.net, midPhase, 10TB and more

might want to try contacting them...

good luck getting this sorted...
 
Ok, I contacted the hoster of the hijacker and got the content removed at least... will contact Uk2.net

Did you check your gmail filters? If not you need to. If that's how it was done you won't be receiving any mail..

Sorry to hear that, just another reminder that I need to transfer everything from GoDaddy.

I got a call from them about a week ago that said some of my personal information may have been leaked, but they didn't know where. I'm still waiting for some lady to come and murder me since her acai didn't work.

Not sure if this'll help. But once a month the owner of GoDaddy, Bob Parsons, does a video blog, and viewers can post comments and questions about it, and Bob actually replies in the thread.

Maybe you can post your experience (after his next show) and it will hit a nerve with his other customers - prompting him to take a look into the situation (?)

Yesterday I start to getting noticed on a strange post in fucked up german, trying to promote some vietnamese SEO contest. When I ping my site I notice that it is on a completely different server and that those nameservers are not mine. Fuck.

What I eventually find out is that some guy actually managed to get my freaking complex gmail password, reset my godaddy account and then used the hosting datasheet that was in my gmail to transfer the whole fucking domain tho his acc.

I called godaddy up, asking to undo this stuff but their supporters just told me to mail undo@godaddy.com. They havent answered me yet even though I provided them with the purchase receipt and my drivers license of that domain.

Now my question is: Does anyone of you guys know one of those upper animals at Godaddy? I don't care if he has my db and my content, I can take that down and am already in contact with his hoster for that. All I care about is to get my crown jewel domain back.

PS: I know I was fckin dumb to use godaddy in first place, funny thing is I was thikning about transferring all domains to namecheap last week but hesitated.

PPS: The guy was even dumber than me, entering his real email in the wp-dashboard and exposing some other stuff online. Like his username which usually is tuanfriend2005 and his freaking FLICKR account. I got owned by a vietnamese scriptkiddie.

that guy did also add a *transfer* filter to my gmail account. That way, I didnt notice anything about the transfer at all because it was being automatically put into the trash bin.

Come on! If you have worked on a blog for a couple of years, you would know how worthful it is to the original owner. That kiddy hacker may negotiate a deal with the OP soon.

Anyway, I hope he will get his domain back.

worthless blog? check it twice.

the guy actually responded and said he's sorry for what he did, rofl. he tells also that he just cant transfer the domain back since its on the 60 day cancellation period. I told him to contact his actual registrar to make this unhappen... we'll see how it works out.

Looked at your blog in cache and its near worthless so I really wouldn't fret that much about the fact its gone. You can probably replace it with something of a similar caliber by spending $50 on digitalpoint anyways. I am sure there's a Indian there to accommodate you.
