Hi Everyone,

We're developing a new service to make researching social ads easier and quicker. We are expecting to have a Beta service running in the middle of September and want your help in testing and shaping the future enhancements of this service.

At the Beta launch the service will be scraping ads daily from roughly 1000 accounts each with different demographics. You will then be able to view the ads for each demographic on a single page. All of the ads from previous days will remain available to view also.

Demographics We'll Cover During Beta:
FB
- 4 Countries
- Both Genders
- 8 Ages
- 2 Marital Status

POF
- 4 Countries
- Both Genders
- 7 Ages
- Other common targeting options like Black, Christian, Heavy etc

We're expecting to charge around $200 per month for the service and will be capping the maximum amount of members we accept.

Beta testers will have free access during the Beta period and will be offered the first positions in the service when we leave Beta.

Once we leave Beta new members will only be able to join through invitations from existing members.

You can register your interest in being a Beta tester here.

My Web Form

All future communication about how to get access to the Beta will be via this list. This isn't a service we intend to keep in the public eye for long.

Thanks in advance.

Interesting. Applied. I use both extensively so I'm sure I can give good feedback.

Props on getting this setup though. But I do believe a member here "Rage9" received a serious C&D from FB for his FB spy tool. Just a heads up.

Cheers mGrunin.

Yeah I know about Rage9. I read his blog. Seems like a good guy and it is a shame what happened with his product. I'm sure he has moved onto bigger things though.

I think that your service will definitely fill a need and I also like the way you are doing it very low key with no sales pages etc

But $200 a month will be enough to put off a lot of people (not me though). I think if you charge $99 you will get more than double the subscribers than you would at $200 and I think retention would be very high and also word of mouth (referrals) would be also much higher.

If you get the product quality right (enough accounts) and the price right you should be on to a winner, but please don't scrape target URLs, as you will be costing us all money and probably shut down quite quickly

Meh. I would rather the OP charge $600/month and keep most people away. As an affiliate, would much rather have as little affiliates as possible using the tool.

This.

Too many people having access to a scraper will severely dilute the effectiveness of EVERYONE'S marketing efforts.

Not a good thing. :ugone2far:

Thanks for the feedback on the price. This is the sort of thing we'll be asking the Beta testers about. The "charge more and have fewer members" has been a common piece of feedback we've heard so far.

submiited and confirmed email but didnt get anything after that.

Thanks Vinny. Nothing will be happening for a few weeks still. We'll be in touch via the list.

With the response we've had so far we'll pull the form down pretty soon.

sounds good and we are all looking forward to what you gonna offer in this tool. Should be interesting.

Agree about higher fees, after your beta test I would consider charging a hell of a lot more than $200. Get a feel for what the people think your tool is worth.

If you have 20 people who are willing to spend $1k/month you may want to consider something along those lines. You could possibly make just as much money, the market would not become replicated to shit, and the tool would most likely live a bit longer.

With that said, I'm down for the test... got my email in.

Nobody would pay 1k a month, it cost me 200$ to get a scraper programmed on my own and its all automated. Takes like 10 minutes a week to keep working correctly.
