I am trying to target some ads using SocialMedia and I cant figure out how to target ONLY Facebook users, or ONLY MySpace users.

Has anyone been able to figure out how to target only one of the sites instead of all 4 (FB, myspace, bebo, hi5)?

I see that on the 'Your Ads on Social Media Network' page, there is a column for USERS in between Advertisement and Cost and I'm thinking this is where the target site should show up.

Can anyone help a brother out?

It's there bud when you create an ad, not sure how you're missing this. There is a drop down box.

I know it's right there in the drop down, this might just be my computer but...

Say I want just FB traffic from Canada, I select FB on the drop down and add Canada to the targeted countries and hit UPDATE...and nothing happens. Under the USERS column for the ad still says, NA.

Can you take a screenshot of one of your ads that shows something other than NA under the users?

How can you be so sure? If it were being directed to only FB it would say under the USERS column i would think.

I've been trying to get a hold of Social Media for days now and have heard nothing back from them.

I've found the traffic from MySpace, Hi5, and Bebo not to work for the offer I am promoting. The offer is making me bank on FB but now that i tried using SM, i have a 0% conversion rate. Which kind of tells me its being targeted on the 3 sites i dont want.

Can't be 100% sure since a lot of the traffic comes from "ads.socialmedia.com" buut...when I setup ads targeting each of the social networks separately I would see referrers from apps.facebook.com, profile.myspace.com, apps.bebo.com, etc.

In other words, while a lot of the traffic only shows ads.socialmedia.com, I have never had a referrer from one of the other social networks when I was not targeting them.

e.g. target facebook - referrers ads.socialmedia.com, apps.facebook.com
target bebo - ref - ads.socialmedia.com, apps.bebo.com

Your problem isn't going to be solved by choosing "facebook only" in social media. There is a dramatic difference in the traffic quality between facebook ads and social media (app ads), social media traffic is complete crap usually for a number of reasons. If you can find an offer that converts with it even slighly you can get a ton of volume quickly but for 98% of offers that traffic will be a big waste of your money.

Why do folks use it then? Just to get that 10 -20% ROI while spending an s-load?

are you running reports to find out where the traffic is coming from or do you see this when logged into SM?

Insane amount of traffic quickly. If you can find one of the 2% of offers than convert even slightly on there, you can make bank on the volume.

i gotcha... i read about them on mattmarcin.com -- he has a couple of decent writeups about it... seems like he works with these guys and a bunch of other resellers exclusively...
