some help needed please

I have been a lurker for a while now and this site is awesome !

I really need some help in how to either

1. automatically set someone's home page as my own (when they come onto my site)

or

2. as soon as they come on the site, a pop up window asking if they wish to set the home page to my site

Any ideas as this is driving me crazy now and doing my head in !

I will post some boobs here if someone can help me lol

I was looking for someone who may have a tried and tested one so to speak

Hey dick did you actually look at any of the results?

Would you prefer someone to edit the code into the files for you dipshit?

I swear... I try to be helpful... but some asshats around here....

I have tried the first 10-15 results with none fitting the description that I asked for, hence why I asked again.

Jeez I only asked a favour

Just real quick - my 2 cents on this.

1) You said 10-15 results? Try 10-15 pages, then come ask again. We'll tell you to try another few pages.

2) You asked for a "favour", which is why you got the responses like you did. Do some work for yourself, or perhaps give someone $10 to find you the answer. Maybe it'll be done then. :)

Wish I had never asked now, it is not a retarded thread, it is a perfectly normal question ?

I have done the work for myself. I have been looking for a solution to this for 2 days and I havent been able to find one, that is why I posted it on here.

I thought this was the idea of this place, to ask and to share help ? if my question was so silly, I will go elsewhere it is no problem.

Sorry I am just getting really stressed as it has been doing my head in for 2 days and when someone suggested looking myself when I have been already it just annoyed me.

I apologise and am really in need of an answer for this if anyone can help please :)

God... have you tried redirecting to the javascript link that pops the homepage request?

If that works will you promise not to post again?

no I haven't because I do not know how to do it ?

well ideally ie6 and ie7 but anything really, I just need a working example to start with.

Automatically set your start page in IE by Nick Davis

This guy has a really simple to understand example up.

I would always use something like planetsourcecode or codevault to find code examples before asking here.

Actually, I'd go ANYWHERE else before asking here. There may be a few coders, but not enough to warrant posting a question like this in 'shooting the shit' section.
