Someone is DDoSing Ripoff Report

This probably happens once every couple of weeks.
I talked to the guy who used to be in charge of protecting RipoffReport from DDOS attacks. He told me the attackers would post pictures of his kids online, would mail him shit, and would mail him drugs and then call the cops on him.
Ripoffreport is one of the most hated and targetted websites in the world.

I say that's a big FAIL at security.
If he can't protect himself how the fuck can he protect anything.
All of the snitch websites should be shut down.
All of the websites that give out personal info should be shut down too.

You got an awesome product or service, the truth will overwhelm any bullshit lies the scum will make about you. If you truly are crap, then people need warning about you and you'll hopefully be weeded out of the market.
These websites are needed. They are just the village pump on an international scale. The onus is on you to prove the wrong. Always has been in business and always will. Being weak about it won't help.
Personal info? Everyone allows their personal info out in one way or another. If you don't want it on a website, don't include it in your business registration info etc.
How to decide if a scam report is legit or not according to your argumentation ? Matter of fact such sites are abused damn often in almost all niches, that's why people are pissed of it. Of course there can be real reviews / warning too, but honestly I doubt the majority is real there (just my brief opinion, if anybody else knows better feel free to attack me
).Ripoff report is not an open forum though. I could find out your real name, post a bullshit report about you with all your contact info, and you'd have no way to get it removed. Then anytime someone googles your name (like a hr manager would) you get fucked out of a job before you even get an interview.
Yep, it's shitty these sites have to exist at all and that they are such powerful tools for misuse, but what you gonna do? They would have always come around, RipOff Report or no RipOff Report. But to sugget banning them is crazy. That'd be akin to saying "ban toilet walls" cos some dude with a sharpie writes something naughty about the barmaid.

Not true, they recently started accepting payments (I think $2000) for them to look over and potentially remove listings they find are inaccurate.
If you have sombody's full name and the company that person works for (which anybody can get, since the person works at a big hosting company and signs his emails with his name, as most higher ups do at big tech companies) it isn't that hard to find out everything else you need.
