haha no it most definitely does not spam any blogs. If it's a splog can't you just turn on comment moderation and not even worry about it?

Well yeah i have it in moderation but still don't understand how is it being done? the urls don't exist the ip are not of proxies some amazing spammers out there i must say :D ps: no offense to your squirt Eli just asking :p

Maybe its some other BHer trying to get too many backlinks too fast.
There are many if these lurkers you know ;)

I love it...SQUIRT has now become the black helicopter force of the Internet. Whenever anything odd happens, people will be wondering...was it SQUIRT? :)

Did you add the metatag?
You must add <meta name="splog" content="true"/>.
If you haven't, there is no way to know if your blog is a splog or not.

check to see if your splog recently was placed in technorati. Thats one of the first places spambots like to crawl.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but if you're getting your splog spammed, why do you care so much? It's a splog. By definition, and your own admission, it's a SP@M blog.

Also, if spammers are spamming it, there's a chance that others have also noticed it and are using your RSS feed giving you backlinks.

Well i cant allow them to spam cause most of it is adult content and i have adsense on my site..my site got good pr's//but the the real question of me asking is why is someone spamming my site with a url which is not even registered?

I havent disabled comments cause it often gets comments from people :) so unique user generated content how can i ignore it?

If the URL isn't registered, why not register it yourself to steal the links right from under them.

if you are only getting comments from other splogs then just delete the wp-comment.php file? or better to avoid the 404 replace with a sorry comments not available at this time.

you will save all the space in your DB and the server load/ bandwidth on the anti spam shite.

Dont want comments? then just remove the feature, also maybe do the same with the wp-trackback.php to solve spam trackbacks
