Paul Graham Bans SOPA Supporting Companies from YC Demo Day - Technorati Technology

and/or

Paul Graham Just Exiled These Investors From Y Combinator Demo Days

No companies on the list are allowed at Demo Day next year, because according to Paul Graham:

“If these companies are so clueless about technology that they think SOPA is a good idea, how could they be good investors?”

Totally agreed. Some people think he's being juvenile, I think he's being smart.

Looking forward to seeing SOPA supporters further ostracized.

I love pg, watching his mixergy interview further deepened the respect I have for him, he's a smart guy

Am I the only one that has thought about creating an anonymous account on every single company that supports SOPA, create a forum post where I am sharing the company's copyrighted material then reporting them for SOPA violations?

This is actually a really great opportunity for some smaller businesses to gain market share against some of these giants that support SOPA.

When an where. Let's do this.

PG is the man, its great to see someone with some pull do more than bitch about SOPA.

So just called Godaddy and told them I would be canceling my account and transferring the rest of my domains out of there as soon as I can. They are getting a lot of calls about this and directing people to go to thir PR page which I did and let them know why. Its time for action. If you you want to kill the beast you need to hit them in their pocketbook.

Transferred about 15 straggler domains out of GoDaddy as well, fuck them.

Don't even leave domains on there that you plan to let expire- just get rid of them.

Hmm.. now how should I go about boycotting Viacom and Time Warner... there must be some way I can access the material they own without generating any revenue for them...

Fuck em I am still transferring every last domain from Godaddy and I guess the 29th is the magic day. This company repeatedly sticks there nose where it doesn't belong. They were cool when they took a shot w/ their first Superbowl commercial. They were edgy and saying fuck you to the establishment. Now they think they are the establishment.

Their commercials sucked real bad.

Fuck them to hell, as far as I'm concerned the quote in my OP from Paul Graham still applies:

“If these companies are so clueless about technology that they think SOPA is a good idea, how could they be good investors?”

Replace investors with registrars. They switched sides when they had no other choice, it's not like they actually give a fuck or know what they're talking about.

Never go back, keep switching. Let them die. Any technology company (especially those heavily involved with the internet) who has supported SOPA simply has no merit.
