And yeah lawyers will get you somewhere especially if you know some who will do a favor. I have a friend who ran off the road , flipped a car, totalled another car, and hit a tree. He was charged with all kinds of shit. When the lawyer was done they couldnt make anything stick.

I on the other hand had managed to keep points on my record for 6 years without anything worse than a 66 in a 55.

I'm not sure if I believe this story, the main reason being that I doubt I have ever met a cop that knew the Bill of Rights. In fact many are required to violate at least a few of them as part of their regular job.

Hell maybe they DO know them ( or maybe they don't and the person answering can get away with making up shit) and enjoy violating them. Maybe I just wish they were ignorant rather than blatantly un-American.
