I live near and work in Springfield, Ohio and we are in the running for the "home town of Homer" that includes the move premier of the movie being shown here. I know that I don't contribute much as I am so much an ignorant old noobie but I would really appreciate any help from this group in voting for Springfield, OHio at usatoday.com.

Being a lurker here for over a year, I have learned alot but have no brilliant marketing secrets to pass on ...... yet!

Sorry bro, I live in Springfield, Mo. Without the Simpsons we've got nothing going for us here. Seriously.
 
Yo oogie I live very close to Springfield, OH. Miamisburg, actually. It's very close to Dayton.

I voted for the town with the best first 30 seconds of movie. You had that fat blond and some fuckfaces, so I voted for New Jersey...

EDIT: And now I watched the rest of the video and I regret my decision. But still, Ohio sux balls
 
Jesus. I thought the Bass Pro shops around here were bad enough. Theres a museum?! Holy rednecks! :D

Me went to college at SMS. Good town... kinda hick'ish but perfect for the Simpson's. Small but not too small for the premier!
 
Groening won't ever say. It was chosen because it was generic.

It should be the Illinois location however. Shelbyville is nearby, doughnut factory, the guy who runs the local power plant looks like Mr. Burns, blah blah blah, many more connections. The mayor DEFINITELY shows the same disdain for his citizens as Quimby.

The fact that the whole thing is a popularity contest is incredibly lame. It should go to the Springfield that provides the best case.
