Hi,

I am new to affiliate marketing however I'm in the making-money-online business since 5 years. I never gave importance to the CPA offers since I tought they were not profitable. I was so wrong. Looking for CPA offers restricted to a specific country, I've found only 2 or 3 offers targeting my country on COPEAC and Millnic.

I noticed that both COPEAC and Millnic had a similar control panel for their affiliates. Since I have contacts over here, I tought, why not buy the script their using (since the panel is so similar I guess it's the same script) and conclude offers with advertising agencies over here.

Briefly, is it really hard to start an affiliate network, what do I have to consider. I am really talented in design, SEO, and webmarking, have a LOT of contacts over here in the advertising business and there is pretty much 0 competition on the serious affiliate network scene.

Thanks for the answers,
Good earnings,
Roni Deli.

there is pretty much 0 competition on the serious affiliate network scene.
That could be the most wrong thing I've read in months.

Just to clarify, I meant that there is pretty much 0 competition on the serious affiliate network scene in the country I'm targetting.

There's quite a few CPA networks online now that offer similar offers, but I would say that you can still compete with some of them easily. If you want to compete then the only way you can do it is by having good support and help your publishers and advertisers all the way and never have late payments. The better your network sounds, the more it will spread on the web in a good way, which will boost business.

Setting one up does need some capital and a work force. I wouldn't say it's easy to run as you have to keep an eye on spamming, have to keep up with the support tickets and things, you have to make sure payouts go out on time, you have to watch for people spamming on places like myspace and things, which could end up getting you in how water, etc.

Overall, it's a money maker if you do it right, but it's not an easy one.

I thought about this as well. The only problem I see is the fact that I wouldn't know how to get the offers these other companies do.

With your niche (whatever country it is) I bet you could make lots of money starting a network. There's no shortage of affiliates out there,so all you really need is an offer that is somewhat attractive which you can market a bit and you'll have a sales force in no time.

Everyone is overlooking the important part of starting an affiliate network in my opinion. Which is getting affiliates. Getting advertisers, providing support, getting an affiliate system like directtrack, etc etc are all easy. Getting affiliates to trust that you're going to get them paid. Now that's a whole different story. Finding affiliates to try you network is not an easy task unless you you want the 1-2 lead a day people, which won't make you shit. It's the few big affiliates that will make you most of your money as an affilaite network owner. You adopt and help the small affiliates in hopes that someday they'll grow up to be big affiliates. Once you have a good reputation established is when a lot of affiliates may consider using you and you may actually start making money.

Now you mentioned in "your country" theirs not many offers, well is there many advertisers? Do people know what the internet is? Brazil for example has a ton of internet users but you can't make anything with them. They're just about worthless.

It's as with any business, there's a lot to consider. A LOT! if you want to do it right. It's not just hey I'm going to throw up a site and start making money. FYI....
