Hello all

I have been a member for a while now and have mainly be reading lots of informative threads in the Enlightened Members section and using other sites and basically opening myself to the right information at the wrong time.

So now I have decided to start working. I already made one site just by starting with knowledge from scratch about a popular game app which has made me a whopping 15$ in adsense. This was done with no research and was more of a spur of the moment lets start a site today thing early this year.

Now because I have read up on more advanced information which has given me a sort of overload, I realise that I know nothing about finding a good keyword for creating adsense, niche or affiliate sites and what software to use.

I am not asking for keywords I am willing to do some deep research but I am just wondering where is best to start in this phase of IM. I will admit to getting sucked into "journeys" and overthinking things but now I have lots of free time and seem to be stuck in the initial phase I am just wondering if anybody has any pointers.

I find the teaching people niche has overwhelmed me with all these different Gurus and products out there.

Do you know what fk it.

Just realised that question is stupid. So here we go with my first "Journey" as people love calling doing shit nowdays.

Introduction.

Hey my name is theAShole and I have a disability which means I cannot work my normal trade and means I have not done any real work for a while. I met a lady in a different country and traveled there often which has made my life a bit disjointed and destroyed my savings. Alas I visited to often and the country hates me right now so it is time to grab my balls and try and make something out of myself.

I got interested in IM a while ago and spend time reading how well other people are doing.

I do not want any sympathy for my condition but the bottom line is it affects my sleep and can make me fatigued which effects my clarity of thought sometimes.

So here is my journey starting with understanding how to understand! This means I will start by focusing whatever willpower I have and improving it and actually learning how to be a success instead of some dude who has no fking idea.

My first port of call will be to brainstorm a large list of things I am interested in, interested in knowing and know something about (this list will be the smallest).

Second port of call will be to create some sort of daily plan or checklist to provide myself with a frame work instead of aimless wondering around the internet.

Thanks for talking some sense into me WF :D

Stop thinking and go to work. Adjust if needed. You cant adjust anything by thinking a whole loads of shit in your head.

Go write an article a day, around 1k-2k words. Dont make a search for keywords for now, just write what you think will be the best topic on your niche. Then move on to do your KW research once you have atleast 10 of these articles while still continuing to write 1 article a day.

subbed, would like to see how this goes

Thanks all

Hi everyone, thanks for the replies.

Looking up Term Explorer now.

Thanks Flip, I should have pointed out in the op that I do not even know what niche to go for hence the brainstorming of ideas.

Onkel- yeah for starters I am just going to focus on light SEO and getting content and creating a site that works like it should and getting the basics down. I could spend a little money but I feel that if I dig in and start myself then it will give me greater understanding of what the IM game involves, how can I pay someone to do some work for me if I do not understand what to ask for?

Ok well it seems like I am not sleeping again tonight though I will try again in while.

Tomorrow I start a new drug that works like diabieties injections that can see 25-50% improvements in patients. This is a long term thing and may involve swapping of different types of the drug. This will also greatly lower my immune system!

Ok so that being said I have created a basic plan for tomorrow-

Finish brainstorming and have a list of larger areas and sub niches to look at.

Try to work out google's new keyword tool, it looks like the older one in many ways but the results I am getting seem different.

Create a plan to find the right critera for a site (how many searches do I need etc cpc if its adsense)

I am considering starting two sites, one a Amazon Affiliate, this will teach me how affiliate programmes work and help write sales copy and a MFA site that I can just write out content and learn about general SEO and indexing and linking on.

I would like to have domains and templates up by wednesday/thursday if possible and start getting the content up.

Also, I agree on the social media, if I can find a niche that I can get into and start writing about, I do have the time to start tweeting and look into pintrest, u tube and other social things that I have not even considered, this is all stuff I want to learn anyway.

I also do have a site I started about self-improvement that has one article on it (lol) and is pretty much abandoned at the moment, its on a long term hosting plan (3 years- fail by me tbh, was a good offer but I did not consider all the angles). I am unsure if I should consider working on this, currently I am also doing a NLP course I found on sale so I also need to crack on with my latest module this week.

You got stuck thinking? A 1 day journey I guess :P :fart:

Hey Flip

Wrote out a large post two days ago that said needed moderating by the Mods. Since that has not come up I will write up a post and get where I am up too over the weekend.

Just dealing with some work related stuff for my brother, he is tech challenged and I am setting him on his way to apply for jobs since he is getting messed around.

Quick update is, I forgone the keyword research for a few days and started article writing for a site I started months ago put one article on it and never touched since. This site had no research beyond oh wow look at these people making 90% of their cash from telling people to do what they earn 10% of their cash doing.

Thanks will get a more detailed post up soon.

Subbed, seems like you're starting off kinda where I did.

Good luck! Don't forget to ask specific questions, but try to research
before doing so. These guys here at WF are awesome and will
give golden tips/advice if you just show them you are serious about IM.

Less reading and more action!

Keep this journal updated, love these things.

Congratulations. $15 in adsense for how much time and money spent? If you worked 15 hours for that $15, then you're looking at a horrible deal. Can that site make $15 for the next 10 months? Now you're making $15 per hour. Can you rarely touch it? If so, now you are headed toward owning an income stream.

Overall, it's good that you see this is a two way street.

I hate that advice, and I normally say nothing when I see it parroted all around the internet, but I'll stab at it here. Are you a hobbyist? Or are you looking to make money?

You can match the two to some extent, and a lot of people do. Define your real mission.
