Steve Jobs Dead..?

Been seeing some jokes about his death on FB. I'm all for jokes but that just pisses me the fuck off...

RIP Steve and thank you for everything you've given us.

< Mad
< Not an Apple fan

Steve was a cool cat, everyone involved with technology and computers should respect him and his accomplishments. I would never touch an apple computer myself, but this guy laid the foundations for new media and helped shape the way we access information.

When I heard he died I started hoping that he pulled an Aldous Huxley and requested LSD on his deathbed (he cited his experience on acid as one of the most important in his life), but that's quite a long shot. I got giddy thinking about it though, I can only imagine how the press would handle that. Regardless, I hope you had fun breaking on through to the other side, macdaddy.

The fact that there are so many people saying "I fucking hate apple products <3 Zune" or whatever shows he made a big impact. Don't know why everyone feels the need to post their favorite OS or pokemon or whatever when someone of great importance dies.

He was a real genius. This kinda sucks. I love mac hardware/software, but I'm not a fanboy. I respect Jobs for what he did, he was really unique. RIP.

RIP Jobs. I'm in shock still.

FUCKING CANCER! WHERE DOES THIS DISEASE COME FROM?! WHY ARE WE SPENDING BILLIONS AND STILL CAN'T FIGURE IT THE FUCK OUT!

That was our generation's Thomas Edison.

RIP Steve Jobs, but his main strengths were in things like promotion, marketing, and deciding what to develop. Steve Wozniak was the main tech guy and Apple itself didn't invent most concepts, just took other ideas and went forward with them.

Searching on twitter now for "Steve Jobs invented" shows that Obama and everyone else is under the impression that Jobs was the sole inventor of all these devices.

With the ipod for example, he oversaw a team of engineers and such that did the actual design and development, and mp3 players had already existed.

Saw this on facebook:

"Everyone says George W Bush was a horrible president, but during his presidency we had Johnny Cash, Bob Hope, and Steve Jobs. Now with Obama as president we have no Cash, no Hope, and no Jobs."

I agree with the guy that said we lost a Thomas Edison of our generation.

He helped guide one of the worlds leading companies to the top and that is something I can appreciate. For those of you who said he was a greedy guy, well common be honest, we're all greedy and we all want to succeed. The only difference is that there are those that have the drive to get there and those that don't.

"Everyone says George W Bush was a horrible president, but during his presidency we had Johnny Cash, Bob Hope, and Steve Jobs. Now with Obama as president we have no Cash, no Hope, and no Jobs."

Seen that a few days ago, thought it was pretty funny at the time.

It is ok to shed a few tears on this.

but i can't help myself
