Steve Jobs Dead..?

He said Innovation, not Invention. Sure, Apple didn't invent the mouse, but they did improve on the technology and brought it to the forefront, mass marketed it & made it affordable enough to the general public, just like the iphone + ipad. That's innovation.
QFT.

His genius was the ability to recognize good ideas that are poorly executed, such as the GUI demonstration at Xerox PARC laboratories that was the inspiration for Macintosh. He never settled for "good enough" or second best, and drove his staff crazy delivering amazing products that set the standard for the rest of the industry.

I am not only sad about his death, I am concerned about the future of my favorite technology company. Will they rest on their laurels, or can they keep innovating? When Apple rolled out a new product, you were usually looking at where the technology industry will be going for the next few years.

Even for those of you who hate Apple: your PC and most of your gadgets were inspired by Apple products.

No, the holocaust was real. Steve Jobs on the other hand only improved what had been done before, time and time again. He was NOT a visionary simply and executioner and marketing genius.

Technically that's bullshit because you'd then imply that every inventor is simply taking what the earth gives them and 'improving' it ... takes more than that, takes passion, commitment and effort, let's see how many millions remember your name for your time on earth when your gone.

1. He built Apple.
2. Got fired from Apple.
3. He founded NeXT which then acquired by Apple itself.
4. He acquired Pixar and make it better which then acquired by Disney.
5. Return back to Apple.
6. You know the rest.

It not just Apple, you see.

A man that has created the most influential company of our generation and you guys say all it was is marketing? lol

Apple might not have invented the wheel, but they sure made/make the best tires available.

  • Made at home computers mainstream, first mainstream gui OS
  • Modernized laptop style.
  • Main company behind digital music transition.
  • Changed the way smartphones are, look at the original android prototype, looks like a blackberry.
  • Changed tablets from laptops with swivel screens to a new slim and small device.
  • Easy and friendly UI and synchronization across all products.
  • Many more but I don't think I need to explain more.

..oh AND TOY STORY.

Seriously shut the fuck up, apple produce are not that great and Steve Jobs is not that great. Follow his framework and profit. Again idiots will buy his shit but I do no care.

Apple sucks cock, and eat shit mac fags!

Your such an ignorant dumb ass.

Jobs, over business and marketing is a product developer, everything he did was lead with product first. If every company lead their company with the meticulous focus on product that Jobs had.
Jobs is a not that great? Look at the phones that were out when the iphone was released, pocket PC was really fucking great, right? The iPad? The first thing of its kind, it literally created an entirely new market.

I sound like such a fan boy right now, but fuck you are an idiot.

And saying how great Jobs was and saying his products sucks makes no sense, all he cared about was creating great products.

"We've never worried about numbers. In the market place, Apple is trying to focus the spotlight on products, because products really make a difference. [...] Ad campaigns are necessary for competition; IBM's ads are everywhere. But good PR educates people; that's all it is. You can't con people in this business. The products speak for themselves." - Steve Jobs

Thanks for the iPhone Steve, RIP.

Steve Jobs took apple from being on their knees in 1997 to in 2011 being the world's most valuable company (albeit briefly) and having more money than the US Treasury. Apple sold 100 million ipods in less than 10 years.

This is a marketing forum, whether you like apple products or not, give the man the credit he deserves as being the greatest marketer there ever was.

Don't fret, I'm sure that's going to house more than a couple brilliant industrial designers capable of carrying on Jobs' vision for the future of Apple products. They probably have the next several years worth of products already planned.

RIP Steve Job

Am I the only one that thinks without Steve Jobs apple wont be the same.
I was about to get the iphone5 and they fucked that up without him in a very short period of time.
RIP Steve Jobs; Ray Kroc, Sam Walton, Ben Franklin of Personal technology.

Am I the only one who thinks that looks a bit too much like a halo?

To you haters, this really isn't the proper place to be bashing on him and if you think it is, you likely belong in /b/. Have some fucking respect for someone who had more impact on their world and people's lives than you ever will and who accomplished so much in his short life that was tragically ended. He never did anything to wrong you, so why the hate?

1+ Steve Job passion for the brand pushed Apple to what it is today. I think it'll be hard to find someone who is as passionate about Apple as Steve was.

Extreme passion and business acumen really made Apple the most valuable company in the world.

Very humble guy, but a very intelligent businessmen and a fighter and a go getter at the same time! You don't get lot of those people around. Most business people become obnoxious and full of their own self worth.

The iPhone 3gs and iPhone 4 were mainly developed while steve jobs was out on medical leave...I don't really see what you're trying to say? Steve jobs has had a very limited role in the company the past few years.

^^^
Dont hate. Anything the guy touched turned to gold. Look at what he did with Pixar. The guy was a great leader. Limited or not; its his vision the company followed.

stay hungry stay foolish - steve jobs.

No one can sell vision like Steve could.
