Someone is using a near identical copy of my landing page. They basically cloned the whole site, graphics, everything. They have made very minor changes, such as text at the beginning.

What can I do?

Not much. I've had this happen more times than I can count. I would get in touch with the aff network the person is pushing offers through and ask them to have the person take it down. This is much easier to accomplish if you are signed up for said network.

On the bright side, your landing pages must look good, because mine did and they got ripped off frequently :338:

Cry about it

Get use to it

^^^^

Pretty much these are the things you can do about it..
Out of these, which one appeals to you?

You may have done the second one (posting about it), now do the third and the first, and you'll be fine.
Next time read cakes post and add a javascript in your LP, so if someone steals it completely you can still redirect them to your affiliate link or even makemoniesonline, up to you... :)

Could always send a DMCA complaint to their hosting company assuming their hosting company actually cares.

^^ Yeah Call the INTERNET POLICE!! ^^

That's AM for you. And some lazy fuck is tired of making up new landers, so he/she/it decided to copy you. Prolly one of those goddamned U-bots!! Consider it a form of flattery. either outbid them, look for other traffic sources, or you can cry about it.

Goo Goo wont care. Most they could do is deindex it.

You might try the ISP of the offending webpage.

Do a whois and get the nameserver details to trace them

In reality about 95%+ affiliates copy LPs and anything else they need would be my guess. What really stands out to me is how banners are copied. One person makes some banners and blows up a campaign and 6 months later a bunch of affiliates are still running the same banners. I'd say innovation and new stuff comes from about 2% of affiliates or less.

All of the people above saying "Get over it" probably copy landing pages constantly and are afraid of their copied flogs getting taken down.

Using the same template/design is one thing, exploiting text and images you spent lots of money testing for their own gain is another, and you can definitely put a stop to it.
We don't copy landing pages, and pursue those who copy ours very aggressively, and so far, every time, the copied page has been taken down.

DMCA everyone and everywhere- host, domain registrar, aff network, etc.

If they're using AdWords, send a DMCA notice and their ads will be disapproved in a day or two:

Digital Millennium Copyright Act

The reason so much landing page theft exists is because affiliates accept it as part of doing business. If you actually go after landing page thieves, you will eliminate your lazier competitors and increase your bottom line. Unless you're using an exact replica of someone else's landing page anyway, there is no reason you should be letting this go.

Your Right and it pisses me off, but hey this is the internet - if your going to play here don't complain about what everyone does their not going to stop.

I make all my LP's and Ads from scratch (5+ years web design experience before coming to affiliate marketing) and you would laugh at how many times my LP's and ads are stolen.

I hide tons of copys of tracking code, and prosper scripts so I can tell when people steal my LP and then makes lists of them... they usually will take out one but thats it, if you have them hidden in random places they usually cannot find them!

Good luck.

You could waste your time making a post about it only to get flamed... oh wait.

No need to read cakes post, you just summed it up already.
Reading cakes post doesn't give you the info you need how to do that.
