stuck with PR2

Hello Guys,
Hope you are doing well. I was struggling since 2 years now to rise up m PR from the second position. Do you have any ideas about the causes that disable my PR website progress.

did you remember to set the SE3 selector to level 8 in your google webmaster account? This is usually the cause.
It's set to level 2 by default and if you don't change it, it will cause your site to get stuck at PR2. Once I changed my to level 8, my site got bumped up to PR8.

lol if only pr was that easy to change

op, I think you should be focusing more on targeted traffic & conversions
I've seen many pr2 make 100x more than pr4 sites, I personally wouldn't get too caught up with a PR
 
PR DOES NOT = YOUR RANKINGS. Google hasn't publicly updated the PR database since April this year.

Google actually updates internal PR very frequently, but you get to see a single glimpse of it for months at a time.
 
thanks guys for your answer. indeed..I'm receiveing more trafic than site with PR4 in my nich. I'll try to tweak again and see what will happen

It does effect your SERPS. There hasn't been a PR update for over a half a year. The sites I have made since then are all stuck on 0 PR which makes it extremely difficult to exchange relevant links. PR is also still a good measure of authority when looking for one-way links. If I can get my anchor text on a PR6 page then I already know that that is going to have so much more value then a page without it. It does look like Google are trying to phase it out though.
 
If it’s about google pr, one way to increase is by doing backlinks and much better if the links are containing keywords that are relevant to your niche. If you’re using google or yahoo products like Blogger or Googlepage, of course you will have SERP ranking bonus. 

Sheesh. Whats with the typical noob misinformation dude? Lets help the guy out.

insideout - You have to make sure you tune the S.E.ZERO. feed to for max performance. If you don't do this then everything you do with the SE3 selector will only harm your site.
