Shock - your math leaves a bit to be desired..

You're saying only .001% make 7 figs/yr, or for that matter that less than .001% make 6 figures (that's only $100k+) a year..

I guess people spew shit from their piehole often enough, and with enough conviction, people just jump on the bandwagon and assume they're correct..

Then you say you're SURE that many people on the forum make 8 figures, yet your math indicates that the segment is filled with less than .0002% of all affiliate marketers..

I guess a stupid question deserves an even more stupid answer..

Boot this fucking idiot!

Serveral doing 8 figures on this forum a year, and I'm sure some of the networks reach 9 figures (not sure, guessing though) a year.

This obviously excludes ROIShareTeam and his 5 story house.

are you talking about total revenue or commissions. 8 and 9 figure commissions are nuts!

PS - according to somewhat recent US Census data, more than 15% of US households are in the $100k+/yr range, and 1.5% are at $250k+/yr.

I believe roughly 1% of earners in general, make a million+/yr, far cry from the .0002 suggested here, in an industry that we all seem to think is ON FIRE!!!!

I am near certain that a far greater percentage than .001% is making $100k+/yr off Affiliate Marketing, the industry certainly can't be lagging behind basic national averages that is based on a mix bag of incomes from across all industries.

No one is in AM because it's HARDER than usual to make money, eh?

Note, these are households, not individual incomes, though some households obviously rely on just one income.

If you aren't getting $100k checks every month and posting them on your blog then you're not really an affiliate, 'nuff Said.

I make 10 figures a year and I spend it all on toy soldiers, leaves me with just enough money to pay my rent. Wish I would make more :(

threehundred -

US Census data has nothing to do with the division of wealth amongst affiliate marketers

do you believe wealth amongst affiliate marketers is generally greater, the same as, or less than the US Census data shows for the nation?

I believe it'd be GREATER, and that was my point. The math showed the exact opposite, indicating that attempting to make $100k+ in the AM industry is akin to trying to win the lottery. Evidence says that's not quite true, or do you disagree about that too?

This thread deserves an 8 figure face kick from chuck for many reasons.

I wasn't really trying to use correct math.

The simple rule of business is that the top 20% of any industry does 80% of the business...Figure out how big AM is and then figure out who does what.

There's 7 figure producers, 8 figure, 9 figure and so on , those are just nice numbers people throw out there to make themselves feel better.

The question is : How much can you do? The answer is : As much as you're willing to work for.

AM isn't one of those things that everyone that gets in will be rich , it's a rapidly evolving industry ,and some big players now will be HUGE in the next 5 years, and further more there will be plenty of people that do poorly.

when you guys are saying 7, 8, and 9 figure guys are you talking about total revenues or commissions that these guys get?

why is anyone even entertaining this question?

If someone walked up to you on the street and said "yo dawg, how much do you make in your business" you'd punch them in the face.

the answer is it's none of your fucking business.
