Throughout the 5 years bitcoin has been 'alive', we have seen dramatic fluctuations in its price but overall its increased exponentially in a very short time period. The market cap on bitcoin is only around 11 billion dollars right now. Many would say its still in its infancy stages.

Like, bitcoin, dogecoin has come about and it too is increasing exponentially overall. Hell, its only a month old and its market cap at one point reached a market cap of 15 million dollars within a few days now it sits around 11.

However, unlike bitcoin, there is a MUCH larger supply. Instead of 21 million, there are 100 billion that will ever be mined which is expected to be fully mined in about two years or something very close to that.(Not 30 years like bitcoin)

Some might say this is bad because the value cannot rise substantially to say 1000 dollars each like bitcoin. I promise you all though, this is only the beginning. Bitcoin and digital currency is nowhere near what it will be worth in 10 years. And by that time doge could even be sitting at over a dollar each.

Its really easy and cheap to get dogecoins right now. The reward for the miners is about to halve in mid February so the value of doge will only go up more then. It wont die it has too much support behind it. People who buy now will have probably doubled their money around a month from now.

I know many of you here are trolls which is why I posted this here. I am curious to see what the people who think Im stupid for buying into dogecoin have to say. In about a year Ill come back to this and quote each and every one of you.

I'm high on DogeCoin, though I think the projection of $1 per coin is pretty optimistic.

The coin will cap at 100 billion coins. That would give a market cap of $100 billion.

The US Dollar currently has $1.2 trillion in circulation. I don't DogeCoin can quite become 10% of US Dollar.

I can realistically see DogeCoin being worth $.01 down the road, which would be pretty damn significant.

Also, DogeCoin's community is amazing. They are getting people to accept and actually spend the currency. Pretty impressive for less then 60 days in.

I see what you mean but you are incorrect in saying there is only 1.2 trillion in money supply. That 1.2 trillion accounts for only the M1 money supply. If you use the standard M2 money supply definition, you will see the value of that number is 10.5 trillion which is substantially higher.

Digital currency can be looked at as not only a currency, but also an assest bubble right now. This will attract more of that M2 money supply than say someone who wants to trade strictly in fiat

That would only mean that doge would be fully mined and have a market cap of a billion dollars which is a piss ants shit in the scheme of things. Look at this article that is going crazy on digital currency right now. Pretty intereting read: I Have A Tip For You. - Accepting Payment Cards - Quora

Oh, yea, thanks Shibe fairy for visiting this thread! Hiii :)

Ahh, good points. My economics are a bit rusty.

I've been studying cryptocurrencies like mad over the last 3-4 weeks. There's tons of variables to consider, but I'm really high on DogeCoin (own 6 mil+). I also own a few BitCoin, but I'm unsure of how much more it can go up.

There's some interesting talk by entrepreneurs that a more "mature" and better run crypto currency may be released in the near future. I'm curious to see if anything like that comes to fruition.

YAWWWWN... haven't you guys heard of 42? Yes that's right, only 42 coins will ever be mined and there are currently only 0.88 coins current in existence.

Each full 42 coin is valued at $863,386 and get this, 42 coin has only been around for a WEEK. So get onboard whilst you still can, cos' were heading to the moon

You know the funny thing is, 42 coin is going to be worth a lot of money, but do you know how ridiculously hard it is to get a small fraction of one of them? Dogecoin is bigger than 42 and I think it always will be. 42 might even crash to nothing, but it might not because crypto is the shit

Have you read about Nxt? All of them have been mined by now and they have features that make your head explode: Bitcoin Descendant NXT Features 100% New Code, Green Mining, Decentralized Trading, More - Yahoo Finance

Here is their main page: http://www.nxtcrypto.org/

I've never done any of this pseudocurrency mining shit before so I got this CPU mining situation going for DogeCoin while procrastinating earlier.

I have like 7 of these bad boys now which apparently isn't worth half a squirt of piss. Go me.

>42 coin, <$2M worth coin

>where is your e-god now
