The AM-Related Shit That Pisses You Off Thread

To add to the existing points
* When leads are removed without a word, and you find out yourself
* When your AM doesn't respond, and you have to get in touch with the higher-ups to get shit taken care of

Douchebag am's who've never spent a dollar advertising talking to me like they know what the fuck they're talking about.

Larger networks,
anything that has to do with facebook advertising,
excessive lead shaving
late wires
shitty designed pages for good offers
advertisers complaining about quality, after they allow only certain traffic sources.

* networks scrubbing 30% of my leads 60 days later. cheers hydra
* AM's making small talk and 'getting to know you'. I'm sorry, I have enough real life friends and already waste enough time IM'ing them all day. Just answer my questions and go away. (hmm, that's kinda harsh but it can be annoying)#
* Spending an age coding a great affiliate tool for myself and then seeing someone doing the same and releasing it open-source or very low cost to suck up to the A-list bloggers. Why?

mid tier networks with shitty payouts

"But i can pay you weekly!!!"

Of course you can shithead, because the top level network pays YOU weekly..

* Dealing with useless 9-to-5ers at traffic sources,
This is my number one thing that pisses me off. These sales rep think their hot shit, but in reality they are useless and are stuck slaving to make someone else rich...

Anyone who has ever dealt with Chet from Rockyou knows exactly what I'm talking about.. the guy is a clown.

Also I hate when I have to ask for compensation from network when THEIR tracking screws up or pixel is broken...

...Not only feels humiliating but also they act like they are "doing a favor" on me rather than just giving me what's owed and settling business.

This ^

* Delayed reporting
* No self serve pixels

* VISA / MASTERCARD annoying interference with continuity billing practices
* How winning a chargeback STILL counts against you
* 10% rolling reserves
* 1% chargeback thresholds...
* dealing with IDIOT customers

This is the real bane of my life

This is a thread to bitch. I'll start:

I hate that:

* Linktrust uses stupid ass ID numbers that I can't remember and so I have to look them up when logging in

(this feels really good btw)

Dude there is a way to change it to your usual login for example, just take a closer look to options in "My Account" on LT-based networks LOL

Be prepaired however that you may not get e-mails from networks about offers and how to promote them (ewa/pkm) and instead will get daily stats, there is a glitch when you change login this happens, let owners know and they will fix it.

* every affiliate network platform that is not custom built (properly)
* +1 for douchebag 9-5ers who think they are pro because they work for a valuable web property (yet have no real skills in the industry)
* every single Facebook employee
* lazy AMs
* Tracking202
* plenty of fish & myads platforms

-No self serve pixels or complications of me getting analytics on my end (If it takes days to set this up I will not work with you)

-Shoestring budget cookie cutter startup networks consisting of brokered offers and no differentiation. That one is both annoying and hilarious because they usually go under months later.

-General ignorance of most sales reps

-No option for exit pops

-The dwindling percentage of marketers with creativity

-Imran Naseem and every other guru moron

-Michael Arrington outing social offer monetization which created a windfall of compliance changes.

-Traffic platforms, merchant services, corporate entities who profit from edgy advertising and then once regulation steps in they bend over, deny having involvement trying to pin the blame on someone else.

-Spamhaus and other vigilant anti mail crusaders who are against any kind of mailing in volume and interfere with legitimate mailers compliant with canspam laws.

I could go on :)
