There you go buddy! Seasteading. I can see you now, stuck in the middle of the ocean in your 200sqft apartment that cost $500k, paying $15/loaf of bread, shaking your fist in the air with a big smile, "I'm free!!!"
Doesn't seem like a great deal now before the fall, I realize. Just wait until the dollar isn't worth a peso, or all americans must have RFID implants just to buy anything, and we'll see who's laughing then.
If I'm currently living the life of a modern day slave; a brainwashed indentured servant of the elite, then you know something? Sure, sign me up! This is quite good, and I'm happy to keep going. You act as if you have the gestapo stopping by every week to check up on you, and ensure your grain production levels are appropriate, or something.
No, I don't. I act as one who sees worse times coming and a failed political process that will simply not allow us to do anything about it.
Anarchy is something mankind has yearned for since the first rulers. My wishes here are nothing new... But they are hurried along by the need to escape the impending hell that is coming our way as america falls.
And I don't think you realize how unbelievably inhumane humanity can be, and how quickly it can descend to that level. I'll stick with what we have now, thanks.
You're very welcome to. I only keep arguing with you about it because you keep popping up in threads were we talk about it and say things like "Ahhh, you're moving over to the dark side! Don't become an anarchist. It's delusional thinking!!!" This is extremely annoying because I am trying to help people here, give answers to questions they ask, and you're heading them off like a little liberal bitch outside of a abortion clinic!
If you don't want to partake in anarchy, that's swell. You are graciously invited to stay out of all such conversations from here on out.
I'm pretty ignorant about anarchist theory in general (like a gazillion other things), but I'm curious how we might bridge the giant chasm between the current self-destructive, corporatist cluster fuck we live in, and some sort of sustainable, peaceful society that doesn't depend on coercion.
...
Anywho, if anybody has some reading suggestions, I'm all ears. I'll add them to the list of stuff I want to learn, when I'm not flailing around on the internets.
This forum is FILLED with great lists of books like the ones you're looking for. Pretty much every thread that Guerilla, myself, or JakeStratham appear on lists a few.
Try this one:

Overall, you really can't beat the Mises.org library. It can be overwhelming but it is the best. I also love the books, mostly free PDFs, that
Stefan Molyneaux puts out on his site here. Try reading that one called "Practical Anarchy," it answers a lot of technical questions for people about how anarchy can actually work, nuts and bolts stuff. I think you'll like it.
A lot in here I agree with, suprisingly.
Except:
1. Assuming no personal responsibility.
2. The origin of the Evil.
3. Your "one" solution.
1. Where did I say NOT to assume any personal responsibility? I clearly said that there is some, in fact... But being brainwashed from the start is clearly a major hurdle to overcome and some blame is deserved elsewhere.
2. The Origin of evil is not clearly defined in any of this subject matter, except of course the mentioning of the Rothschilds, Morgans, Stanleys, and Rockefellers... Nothing said where they got it or if they acted alone. (Nor even if they were the only ones operating at the time.) If anything the actual origin of the evil is within every last one of us, and those who choose profit at the expense of others are the ones that commit actual Evil. -People who do not practice the NAP, IMHO. So I guess the point here is that it doesn't make a lot of sense to point to one clear origin of "the evil" done to us. It came from many different people, some together, some apart. It came from bankers, CEOs, Prussian generals, and US presidents. I don't think there is any one person or organization pulling all those strings. Seems quite impractical, but if there was just one that did the MOST evil, it would likely be the rothschilds.
3. Seasteading is by no means perfect, and certainly is not ready yet. However, Making new land of some kind that the existing govs can't annex is the only way we're going to find out if Voluntary Anarchy can truly work in practice... And once it is all over YouTube and the whole world sees what a much better system it is than what they've got, then they'll likely demand less and less government themselves. That's the hope, at least. One that
COULD pay off in our lifetimes.
