Anybody watch it? If you're into post apocalyptic shit, it's pretty fun.

It's an experiment by the Discovery Channel where they shove a bunch of people in a tiny zone near LA, river, warehouse, abandoned buildings etc and the idea is that there was a crazy virus that wiped out everybody so they can't leave.

It's fake but the people get psychologically sucked into it. I won't ruin it with any spoilers, but it's fucking good.
 


Man I got two episodes on my DVR I've been wanting to watch. Thanks for the review - now I'll go check it out :)
 
it would be interesting if the people actually lived out this experiment for more than 30 days. Maybe like 3-6 months. Otherwise the whole thing is just a bunch of people who agreed to be on tv to live out fake scenarios for 30 days.

If it was at least 3-6 months or maybe even telling them its an undetermined amount of days their minds would actually adjust or start to really feel like its real after awhile.

Cool idea, but guessing it won't be any better than flavor of love on VH1.
 
i haven't watched the new episodes .. but last year, i was immediately turned off after they had 'fake' ppl act as threats and looters..to me that was just uber gay
 
It is Kinda Fake, but the people buy into it. Those fearful reactions look real to me..

I'd give it a watch, good show.
 
Its so fake, no one on the show is buying into it. They're paid actors, get it? Acting. Worst show I've watched in a long time, faker and gayer than that Repo men show on TruTV.
 
I watched last year and it was pretty interesting seeing people make stuff from shit laying around. Last season they got a old truck running on wood smoke, this season a tractor running on rendered pig fat.

That is what draws me to the show the most, how people improvise and come up with some good stuff.

Even though I hate the stupid commentary that is totally gay I get sucked into it anyway.

This season the cast has got to be some of the most stupid people I have seen (except the car machanic chick) Example. they get attacked the second day and instead of finding a secure building they try to secure the piece of shit hovel they had been staying in.

Those dumb shits have a concrete building with small windows and a canal in back of it close by and don't think of securing it. They have a fortress already built for them already and they are living in some gutted tinderbox instead. I hope they get thier asses firebombed.
