Did anyone actually get through on anything @ 80%?

I tried to pick up a reseller account from the start of the 80% kicking in, but couldn't even make it to the order page

:(

ranting

Seems to be working fine for me.

Thinking about spending $150 for a full year of reseller hosting instead of the $25/month I'm paying now to host my clients' sites.

Yes it works fine now because it's back to 50% compared to the 80% OFF, that lasted for 10minutes of lag :P

what does that mean? can you please explain more so I can get more knowledge and learn more about what you are pertaining. Please...

i couldn't get the 80% off either. tried a couple of times but couldn't make it to the payment, account details page. i doubt if anybody got an account with 80% off.

Damn, it was their biggest marketing gimmick. They only had 100 accounts for a span of 4 hours. Cheaters. They should have informed before hand, I would not have to wait for so long

I had it loaded from 3 different remote desktops, UK, DE and US. None of them would load the details page. 50% off is still a pretty good deal, but im still a bit pissed off.

At least it started at 11am for my timezone, would have been alot more annoyed if i had had to get up at 5am.

I woke up at 6 A.M. (EST) on a school day to get the 3 years of shared hosting for $40, and didn't even see it. Apparently it only lasted 2 minutes. Bluehost also has a deal on shared hosting ($3.95/month for minimum of 1 year), but it seems Hostgator is preferred, and I haven't had any problems with them.

My new goal is to outgrow shared hosting within 5 months so it wouldn't have been that crazy anyways. There's always next black friday as well.

if anybody is interested coolhandle.com is giving one year hosting at $5.95 (one-time setup fee). not sure how reliable they are and you can only host 5 domains with that hosting plan. still a better deal for $5.95 a year if they are any good.

man, fuck Hostgayter.

Zensix FTW

at least hostgator doesn't sell off their customer's accounts to jerkoff "hosting companies" that don't know what they are doing or know how to manage accounts, which zensix did to a handful of their accounts including mine. nothing more fun than emailing someone for a month straight to pay them more money for bandwidth and them not to respond, resulting in your sites going down.

lol @ people who continue to bitch about that 1.5 years later.

1. We only sold off a handful of accounts (people who used cPanel)
2. Everyone was notified beforehand and had the option to stay with us if they switched to DirectAdmin
3. Everyone was notified beforehand and had the option to stay with us if they switched to DirectAdmin
4. Hostgator has sold off / bought tons of accounts over the years.

why 'lol'?

you sound like a cockloving faggot with an attitude like that.

Meh, I've been using a dedi at hostgator for awhile now; and it works great. I know it's overpriced and all, but the support they offer is amazing. There has yet to be a problem that I haven't gotten sorted with one of the reps with chat support. Not to mention that almost all the problems come with using another software and so on, and they seem to be pretty knowledgeable on a lot of currently used softwares.

So yea, the chat support is alone worth me sticking with them. My weakest part is the technical side. So I really did need a hosting company that is available all the time, with reps that actually know what they are doing.
