When you look at a star thousands of light years away the light that comes from that star and crosses the universe into your eyeball and into your brain connects you and that distant star through that beam of light. Pretty profound if you ask me.
 
I've watched this a couple of times and for me, as an atheist, it gives me some comfort for two reasons:

1) It highlights the (imo) absurd and primitive view held by all major theist religions that humanity is the centre of creation and the universe.

2) Even if I'm wrong about the existence of God, I can't see how an entity capable of such an extraordinary level of creation could be petty and malevolent enough to punish a being of its creation eternally for an entirely reasonable and logical point of view.
