What extremely high levels of charisma and fine tuned pitches can do.

Selling Christmas Trees in January? There is no other explanation. No wonder neighbours thought him to be Sean Connery.

I love how he just continues selling while collecting his money. Breaking last resistance spewing out his media mentions.

His "You only want one? So you got no friends!" Routine reminded me of a street hooker i once turned down:

"What? Don't you like Sex? Are you gay?"

Some serious ego-baiting....especially if you take into account that he is doing it to make the other people buy. Noone wants to look like a friendless loser in front of other people.
 
Stop fucking outing!

Lies all lies. Nobody makes any money selling like this. It's impossible to get rich selling $5 items. Especially when you have to talk to people.

He is dead. I passed by him many times in NY's Union Square park. From a short distance it was tough to tell if he was a performer or hawking wares because he always had a crowd - that's how good he was.

And I think I felt sorry for him the first time I saw him (man wearing a suit selling peelers) but that gave way to respect in little time.
 
I bought two of those while in Turkey, one with a wooden handle and the other in solid brushed steel. Not sure if mine are knockoffs made in Turkey, but they do the same thing. One side peels, and is good for stripping off thick vegetable skins. The other side can shred thinly so you can make a shredded salad without getting out the food processor.

They sell them like he does, which is to demonstrate the product and people buy a lot of them. Some of the best f2f street sellers I ever saw were in London's East End, Cockney sellers on Petticoat Lane. They're lots of fun to talk to and move tons of product.
 
I think his charisma and pitch are solid but does anyone else think the real gem here is that there is something so fucking engaging about watching vegetables get peeled? It feels almost satisfying?

Reminds a lot of those drawing videos that everyone is using to pitch their ebooks.
