hi guys!

since google changed it's algorithm,(well usa for now, in future Europe) and article directories lost their value and i heard many web2.0's to, what do you think that are some good links... personally i'm going more social with my seo strategies, bookmarks + some nice twitter links i guess. what do you guys think?

you should probably test your theory that those links have lost value before running scared

I actually like this whole notion that I probably won't be outranked by a shitty article site any longer. But yeah, I don't think that because google manually bitchslapped article sites that links from them are going to be rendered useless.

Oh, noes. What so called authorities tell you and what really works are not the same thing. Test that shit yourself e.g. stuff that many people here on WF believe but I never saw proof for:
- bad neighbourhoods (never saw any indication of this)
- to many links can get you deindexed
- one type of links can't rank your sites

No shit. I've said it before, but these Wagenheim's of the world need to man up and create and actual site that's of some use to people, instead of riding on the authority of Hub pages and Ezine. Having a shitty one page spun article out rank a high quality site with lots of good content is bullshit. I could give a fuck about this move by Google. Doesn't mean you can't use those content farm sites for your link wheels etc. But if you were just trying to rank 2.0 sites as your money site...I'm glad to see those take a shit in the SERP's.

lolz, totaly agree with you, that's not what i'm doing btw:) my online website builder needs to rank 1 for some competitive keywords where it's now spot 4, 5 and 9 and was thinking what kind of future proof strategie i should use:)

I think you are confusing WF with WaFo. We call people on BS here and there's usually case case study that pops up shortly after some heated debate on stupid notions to further disprove crap assumptions.

FWIW, I'm seeing more 2.0 sites ranking in competitive niches than at any point in the last 4-5 years. Bringing doorways back.

The future is review sites. Google "google rich snippets". Rep Bully + a good press release service is all you really need. Bookmarks & web 2.0 (answers, wiki, squidoo etc) links to internal pages before hitting the homepage with the big links helps.
