people would just turn 720 degrees and walk away.
That's not how 720 degree turns work
he's spin around
Way to give a new product an old, dated-sounding name.. :cool-smiley-008:
Also... is this even a game console anymore? lol... They go on and on about tv channels, media player, Skype, apps..I thought this was a GAME console?
and for a monthly fee with a 2 year contract and all this can be yours.....plus you dont own the games, direct DL so you can never sell them after your sick of them. See how awesome technology is....
As long as they continue to try to charge me to use my own internet connection with their product (xbox live gold) they will never get another dime of my money.
Waiting for PS4.
I think I read somewhere that one of the features is that you can instantly switch from playing games to watching TV.
WOW AMAZING O_O

Used games are allowed, that was a rumor.Have the confirmed that they've removed the second hand games market or was that rumour? If true, they're certainly busy doing some Charlie Sheen style winning.

As for everyone bitching about the name, you're all right. I can't believe they went with the "Xbox One." I've heard talk on a few podcasts that the reason they went with the "Xbox 360" instead of "Xbox 2" was because they were worried about Joe Schmo consumer thinking that the "PS3" would be better because 3 > 2. Obviously they don't care about that anymore.
Destructoid said:Xbox One games will come with a unique redeemable code which will require Internet access to activate and as part of this setup, the software you purchase will be installed from the disc to your system's hard drive. While the redemption process links the titles to your Xbox Live account, anyone playing on the same Xbox One as you won't have to pay for a second copy.
However, once the code is used, the disc essentially becomes a paperweight should you attempt to share with a friend, for instance. "The bits that are on that disc, you can give it to your friend and they can install it on an Xbox One," said Spencer. "They would then have to purchase the right to play that game through Xbox Live." Full price for a new title, that is.

Full price
I hadn't seen that article. I had only seen this:
From the Xbox FAQ:
"Q:Will Xbox One allow players to trade in, purchase and play pre-owned games?
A:We are designing Xbox One to enable customers to trade in and resell games. We’ll have more details to share later."
Xbox Wire
That Destructiod article is really damning though. It does say at the end that they haven't confirmed anything but it sounds like Spencer confirmed plenty. That sucks.
/edit
Also it sucks that there's no backwards compatibility. Not even emulation it would seem.
Fuck em. Just keep your 360. There is no real innovation here.
I just want the new kinect sensor...I got the original one at work and got it working in the web browser(or .exe) with Unity 3d, openNI, and zigfu, and it's really neat, but the new one looks far better.
