The Product Launch "Syndicate" Leaked Phone Call

hahahaha I can't believe people are freaking the fuck out the way they are on that site about that call. Like every "real" business in the world doesn't talk about maximizing profits, and trying to squeeze every last dollar they can out of their buyers.

People either buy shit or they don't. The people on the SD site seem to think that they are protecting the fucking interwebs or some shit. All they are really doing is showing how bitter that they are over the fact that they don't make any bank. One thing that they are dead on about, and something that will at some point come back and bite the "syndicate" in the ass is the price fixing shit. I've listened to a couple of audios over there where they talk about things in a way that can probably be construed as some sort of criminal enterprise. I definitely wouldn't be surprised to someday see them brought up on some sort of charges.

How can you knock their hustle though? They make shit and sell it, it's up to the people that buy it to decide whether it is good shit, or bad shit. If it's bad, the last I heard, all of those ball bags offer money back guarantees, and are probably quick as shit to issue them just to keep any of that "Joe Guru won't refund me my $97" shit to a minimum.

Has he created any companies/products not in the marketing niche?

Videos above about picking up girls were all part of a video where he explained how he launched a PUA course with his friend.

Think it did something like 4 or 14 million. Forget which one.

Regardless it was the biggest ever in the PUA course niche.

The thing with the pricing is, especially in digital products, there's not some insane manufacturing fee, and the time to create it is usually not drastically different to warrant changing the price from $399 to $4,999. It's all smoke and mirrors BS, feeding into preconceived expectations, etc. Kind of sickening. But then again, I'm just about bitter and resentful enough of people to do that too. The difference is, I haven't done it.

I don't see anything morally wrong with the price.

$5,000+ for seminars and industry specific training is common. The question would be does the product deliver on the $2k price tag. And that's open to debate (I haven't seen any of their products).

It's not about the cost to create the product. It's about the ROI. I'm not saying this stuff is worth the money, my guess is it's not, but just assuming it's a ripoff because of the price is pretty shallow thinking IMHO.

I've spent 4 figures on training (not IM) that has immediately paid for itself in the past.

I guess this is the last video in Frank Kerns last product.

Definitely should have never made that video as it know looks like he himself is the "godfather" of the internet marketing community. Which IMO is true.

I just watched the video and that Jeff Walker was talking about 30%+ Refund Rates on his $2,000 product and almost 20% with a $5,000 product!

Wow. That speaks for itself on the quality, lol.

not my style to fleece people.

But the critics here that sling berries are simply hating.

Oh, and has been pointed out, price is not indicative of being a scam. Or else every pair of $500 would be a scam, and if you believe that, I have no fucking idea what you are doing marketing online... you should just move to cuba or some place like that; where capitalists don't engage in capitalism.

There's nothing wrong with a 20-30% refund rate. If your refund rate is lower than 20% I say you're not marketing aggressively enough (when it comes to info products)

Never heard of these guys. Really, it just sounded like 2 guys strokin each other for the evening. I tripped on the chance of price fixing till i found out they were selling the same products everyone else was.

Why hate. They have a return policy and that's well with in ftcguidlines. You guys make it sound like they're the oil cartel, the electric company, or my wireless carrier.

People just don't get this side of the business. I'm not talking about scam artists who sell crappy products of no value....

I'm talking about the relationship side of the business, where most of the big money is made.

I guess because you can't spam your way to success and relationships are built on trust.

It's also VERY SELF POLICING. You can screw someone once on a JV but guess what A) They'll never mail for you again and B) You don't have to worry about doing any deals with anyone they know.

You have to GIVE before you receive too....

I've sent gifts to a few people I want to open up a line of communication with. Hell one person I'm coming out of pocket big time to help promote. You have to give some value to people first, then you get a seat at the table.

And the principle these guys are talking about are at play ALL THE TIME outside of the IM Niche. When Seth's Godin's book came out who mailed for him?

Not other marketers but one of the business corporate office suppliers IN THE WORLD.

Moral of the story....get off forums where people aren't talking about building real internet assets, where people are building relationships (and control their own products and traffic sources) and build a reputation for delivering for your partners...IMHO

This could be Jeff Walker's response Injecting Poison Into Your Brain

He actually blasted it to his list (yep guilty as charged)

may be it's my sick imagination but I'm guessing he's referring to this because this is the first time I'm getting a message from him in which he's not selling something

He should move to Hong Kong. Cartels are 100% legal here, and that is exactly what he is describing.

Hong Kong has no laws against any anti competitive tactics. Even price fixing is legal.
