The Profit, entrepreneur business turnaround show on CNBC

The show that blew my mind was the Key Lime Pie episode. It rang true on so many levels, the owner who was bull headed mainly because he was so scared. Stuck in his ways without the capital to make the changes he needed to. The assistant barely paid but loyal; I have seen this way too many times.

Our schools and universities train our kids to be good worker bees and follow directions, but not to think like entrepreneurs. The confidence and hubris needed to go out on your own is something very few people have, and even fewer are prepared for.

This is one of the few shows I watch regularly. It's obviously semi-staged, as every episode has a "drama" aspect to it that isn't indicative of a real situation. Regardless, it's awesome to see how a big business consultant goes about problem solving and increasing revenue. There's definitely a ton that can be learned just from watching the show.

yeah that made the episode even better, the daughter (who's smoking hot, always a nice plus to have hot women to look at in reality shows) posted a rebuttal on the site:

If you're looking for a place to watch it, Google The Profit S##E## then pick a stream aggregate such as tubeplus.

The Profit S02E04 etc

Sure, the show is somewhat staged like other reality TV but the money behind it is real. What I like is they don't shoot each episode scene by scene like Restaurant Impossible does/did.

Like the latest episode with the guy who sells signs, Marcus determines that he doesn't wanna work with the guy and walks out. There was no beautiful ending, just, "Good luck to you." And then they spend the last 15 minutes showing him going back to the popcorn lady to renegotiate a deal with her.

So at least there's a little variety on this show and not every episode is tied up with a nice red bow.

They could make a show with minimum reality/show and strictly real business. Audience numbers would be low, but it would be legendary.
These fake dramas ans other reality bullshit ruins everything.
