I've read that article writing as a skill, is very important when you want to succeed in online marketing. Is this true? What if a newbie IM doesn't know anything about stringing catchy words, does that mean he/she won't make it in this business?

I never wrote one single article in my life. I've always outsourced. It's the thing I have the most.

I had hundreds of sites, almost 70% had unique articles.

It all depends on the type of content you need. You seem to have a good grasp of grammar and spelling, so you are already better than the majority.

"Stringing catchy words" isn't really necessary for everyday niche site content. However, you will need to learn copy writing skills for your sales pages, landing pages, e-mail marketing, and sales content.

I suggest that you read blogs dedicated to the subject of copy writing. Copyblogger comes to mind. Also, do a search on Google for terms like "copy writng + blog" to find other relevant information.

The best way to learn is by doing. Take a look at how your competitors have their sales copy written. Try to emulate that with your own twist. Keep repeating that process until you have found something that has worked for you.

It definitely depends on what exactly it is that you are looking for. You don't really need to do any of your own writing. You can outsource it. However, I would personally like to at least try and write my own articles for the sake of saving money & time (trying to find a decent article writer).

Right. So it just means since I am still not making money online, I have no choice but to do the writing myself until I'll be able to afford to hire someone who will. Therefore I conclude that without a writing skill, I have nowhere to go in online marketing then.

Yes, if you want to get serious in IM then you better know how to learn how to write an article. It's true that with money you can get a good writer. However, how would you man your business if you only rely on good people on your workforce? I didn't mean you have to learn everything - just have a bit of knowledge on everything.

Not necessarily. But I do think it'll give you the edge if you know how to write.

all you need is to grab some tips regarding 'writing an article', lil focus and piece of mind you are as good as a writer is ...

I don't think so.. I've always outsourced my articles to others.. Although if you're good at writing then you can easily get paid around $1 or more for 100 words which I think is a plus point

be creative which means generate ideas, twist things making the content more pure and try writing in the way that everyone can understand it easily, these are the power tolls to attract heavy traffic

Excerpt from above:

"Motivational Aspects

Writing is hard for most students. Even professional writers freely admit that writing is hard. Students with learning and information processing problems, including those with TBI, have particular difficulty with writing and easily become discouraged. This leads to resistance with writing and, in turn, to written products that are short and inadequate in many ways. Writing is complex and time consuming, thus requiring high levels of motivation and perseverance."

Now, acquire the SKILLZ and then........get to work woman!!!!

J/K Have fun with those. They'll give you a pretty good base to start from.

Good quality content requires proper research and planning, and not just writing off the top of your head what you think will sound good enough.

It's a good skill to have but it not necessary. I outsource most of my writing and many times it comes back better than how I could've written it.

When you can hire someone to do something better than you can and for cheap, DO IT!

Thanks for your post.
