The start of the Ron Paul 2012 movement

He also believes that the Dept. of Education should be abolished federally and that states should handle education since Education is not part of the constitution, so by doing this he would have 0 control over curriculum. Worrying about this is a moot point because of that.

You'd prefer Mitt Romney, the one who believes that Joseph Smith talked to God in a top hat?

I said I liked Ron Paul...

Anyone who strongly adheres to either Mormonism or Creationism has a severely skewed worldview and that to me is dangerous when they are in a position of great power such as president of the united states.

If anyone truly, deeply believes that Joseph Smith read special gold tablets and discovered an entirely unproven lineage of people, or that dinosaurs and humans walked around together 1000 years after the Sumerians invented glue, then that person is in denial of many truths and that is a risky thing when you have a public that demands honesty and integrity.

Coming from the former atheist soviet union.
You have no idea what you're talking about. Traditional American values will save this country, and made it so great.
Government that thinks people are a bunch of useless disposable dogs, is a very dangerous government.
Trust me you have it real good here bro. Thank the Bible.

Dont want to hi jack the tread but how did we get from non life to life again. And why is this more important then focusing on math, reading, and writing. You know things schools should really be involved in these day.

No hate. Love your blog.

"Why is that voters apply a much different standard to libertarians than Republicans or Democrats? 'Eh, this guy's a little better than the other.' Yet with us they say 'I agree with you on 100 different positions. I disagree with you wildly on one position, therefore, I won't vote for you.' Why do they do that?"

-Murray Rothbard

sounds like most Ron Paul detractors

I don't mean to deter from an awesome ron paul thread GO RON PAUL! but anyone who believes christians think the world is only 6,000 years old are as stupid and ignorant as they are. It's only a small faction of creationism that believes that. A few nuts, some of which aren't even christian, thats all. I know a few athiests that believe mars really does have intellegent walking and talking green aliens on it. I don't go around claiming all atheists believe in martians. Fuckin tards.

If you want to promote ideas of liberty, freedom, peace and property rights (prosperity) then there probably is no better investment than Ron Paul right now.

That said, he runs educational campaigns. He isn't running to win. The man has zero interest in commanding a nation. He is interested in spreading ideas.

Electoral politics can only change things when the voters change, not when the candidates do. If the people want handouts and ignorance, they will get it. To quote the Sage of Baltimore,

HL Mencken said:
"Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want and deserve to get it good and hard."

Oh My Fucking God... This will be my campaign Speech.

Thank you Thank you!!

PS: If only that website had a donor links section, sigh!!!

someone build backlinks his URL with anchor texts :
President 2012
US President
President of the USA

;D

This is exactly what I am planing to do. If he runs I am going to SEO either my own sites or enforce his existing sites. I also have plans to "donate" a couple of hundred bucks in PPC traffic.

Its amazing that there are so many Ron Paul supporters here. We need to realize the power that we actually have as a community. Though a combined/donated effort we can easily make Ron Paul rank for anything we want. Its something to look into when/if he makes his official announcement.

I've said that too. We should get together and have a few team-based sites, terms to SEO for, who is gonna help do what. It'd be an awesome community project that I'd donate time to.

I am down to do this too. Count me in.

The truth is that most Americans are apathetic and stupid, and will always vote against their own best interest.

i agree with you here, and admittedly the mainstream media can't be held completely accountable. However, if Ron Paul had received half the praise and attention that our lord and savior Obama had received, then he would have had a much better shot at the primary. I don't think you can deny that media latches on to 1 or 2 candidates and really pushes them, while making the others look bad. It seems so blatant to me.

If you're referring to the teabagger candidates, they all ran as Republicans, not a third party, on a traditional Republican platform. Seems pretty establishment to me.

I think you nailed it actually, traditional Republican platform- lower taxes, less spending, modest foreign policy, less government intrusion. If you compare this to the platform of the other front runners, say John McCain or Mitt Romney, it is completely unique. They (Romney and McCain types) run on a neo-conservative platform which is pretty much exactly the same as a moderate liberal platform. Just sayin', Rand Paul and quite a few others are definitely shaking things up in Washington... they aren't voting the party line, but rather a much more conservative line, which is exactly what needs to be done.

You're right about the retards that buy rebills being the ones that elect or president. This is definitely true, but the tide is shifting- just by talking about Ron Paul and the his beliefs, I was able to get 10 of my friends to register as republicans and vote in the primary for him. That's pretty amazing- most of them had never registered to vote in a general election, let alone a primary. I think we (generation X and Y) are tired of what our parents and grandparents have let this country become.

Maybe RP getting elected is unlikely, but I definitely think it's possible.

there's something fundamentally flawed with his ability to reason if he truly believes everything in the world began 6000 years ago, and I do not think it's something to just be brushed under the rug because he shines in all other areas.

I dont know what your political beliefs are, but this is no different then Obama or anyone else.

60+% didnt want Obamacare, yet he still passed it anyway. I could show other examples too of prior presidents. Everyone is flawed in some thinking, but that doesnt mean they cant still be president. Obama shines in other areas ( yet to find them though ), even though he went against the majority of Americans.

1. Ron Paul is the only candidate, that I can remember, that actually sites historical references, IE: in 1953 this happened, in 1843 so and so did this, ect.

I think many people, in general, may over look the importance of this, history constantly repeats itself and there is a reason many great empires and countries have fallen. While technology has grown leaps and bounds, government is really no different than it was 1000+ years ago, people want to be free, treated fairly and protected when needed. The reason the US was founded was because people were tired of the big controlling government of Britain....the same thing that seems to be happening now.

2. I am all for an all out online marketing blitz for Ron Paul, some of the greatest marketing minds on the internet are on these forums and we could all make a significant impact on getting Ron Paul supporters. Unfortunately, it will be more difficult to capture that 60 year old voter that is glued to fox news and still has an AOL email account.

Count me in. Let's develop a game plan for the types of terms that independents and fence-riders might be searching for and push this man. Think of all the fake news sites and review sites we use to push rebills - let's do the same thing to push Ron Paul. Don't forget - he's a darling at Reddit too, so once we put a game plan together we can bring them on board.

If we can convince the average consumer that a magic pill will make them lose 30 lbs. in a week, their dick grow 4 inches and that they'll be making $6,237/week working for Google, I'm pretty sure we can push Ron Paul to the front and fuck over his opponents, too. I thought I just saw an article on news9health.com about Mitt Romney killing a hooker back in 1998 but maybe I'm wrong....
