Just bought on CL, should be at my house in a few hours.

lol. Actually bought it to be part of the kids home school hands-on Science and History. We're doing Pirates and all sorts of lore, history, and science that goes along with ships and such.

We are trying 6 week blocks of related history and science where we learn all about a subject, as much hands on material as possible. If I have time I'm going to arrange 2 days of sailing lessons too but not sure.

Homeschooling ftw.

You can't even say the word "cannon" in a public school these days without getting expelled.

My grandpa used to have about 30 of those; my faggot uncle stole them and prob spent money on tennage prostitutes

Hm, I hope people realize the scale of the thing, with all this talk of additional sink holes and independent countries.

Anyhow, how old're your kids and how is the homeschooling experience? We're going to be going that route with our 2 daughters.

Ha. That's dope.

I was homeschooled until late High School.

I'm thankful for it, but sometimes I wish I was more in tune with groupthink. Independence comes with a price.

Your whole idea on taking a subject and learning with a hands-on approach is terrific. I can attest to this. I started doing the same thing at 15/16 with just myself but the exploration of knowledge with your family has to be awesome.

You're one cool dad, and your kids will be light years ahead of the rest. Is it too much to ask how much you spent on that bad boy?

Obviously public school would do a better job teaching your children, this should be a crime like child abuse. How will your children learn to respect authority like this?

Haha, ya, it's like 13 inches, fires a 50 caliber ball. Like these: Hornady .50-Caliber Round Balls 100-Pack - Gander Mountain

My boy is 7 next month, and girl is 4. We home schooled last year, and it went well, should be more fun each year as they get older. It's a blast, we do all sorts of stuff most kids never learn.

It was $65, seemed like a good deal.
