The VERY beginning of time? Wrapping my head around it....

I await papajohn's participation and corrections, which I'm surprised to not see already, perhaps he's letting us all dig holes so he can bury us later on?
I think Einstein proved that time is not a constant but a changing variable depending on various events and locations, which got called Spacetime.
It certainly shows that our interpretation of time looks ever more wrong. I've no doubt people like papajohn absolutely love discussing this with [telling it to] the layman and the way in which space and time shorten as speed increases ever closer to the constant. (Or something like that, my physics was learned off the back of a fag packet.)

i was under the impression that time itself (spacetime) was also created by the big bang. therefore there was no before.

It is difficult to get your head around how something could come out of nothing?! I understand the theories on what has happened since the Big Bang, but before that time is a bit of a headfuck.

I probably sound a fuck tard but ive always thought of the posibility that maybe...just maaayyybe we are nothing but specs within a bigger world.
You know the endind part in one of the MIB films? where he looks into his locker and sees huge beasts? then it zooms further out and further out and so on?
Like a fractal type of thing, like bigger 'things' looking down at us and our so called universe, the same as we look down at little ants.
An ants 'universe' is nothing more than the land its on since its infinite to such small little fella.
