This sounds a lot like the days of McCarthyism with the FBI busy spying on enemies of the state but in those days it was commies and now days it is "terrorists". How did that era end? Didn't it just take a very embarrassing televised inquiry to end McCarthy? Seems like those were simpler days and these days "they" can do things way more blatant and embarrassing without hardly anybody paying attention.

I will say this though. Distance bears no relevance to your chances of extradition. Kim's only mistake is he kick backed his chair in a streamlined 1st world country. Down here and further south, unless you're a serious criminal, freedom has a price. I imagine its the same for many other places around the world too.

Listen, McCarthyism was based on a lot of bullshit that rarely amounted to anything. The terrorism issue is not a non-issue. There were some likely communists with bad intentions but they never actually did anything. There most certainly are some Islamic terrorists with bad intentions and they have done things.
The reaction is a separate debate but the comparison of McCarthyism and Terrorism just doesn't really hold up.
And I really hate bringing this point up because it comes out of the mouths of people like Bill O'Riley, but if you really think your government dislikes you so much, why the fuck do you chose to live here?
