There is not a newb newbier than I. Where do I start?

Thanks everyone for all the advice. It's great to see people on this forum are willing to help out the newbs. I'll be reading and re-reading everything that's been said in here and atm, it looks like i'll be taking a class on web design.

Bofu2U, I'd love to take you up on your offer, hopefully it will still stand when I have a more reliable computer with a mic in the near future.

I'm not going anywhere, you'll will be seeing much more of me from now on (so if richard simmons jew-fro bothers you, say so now.) Hopefully in a few years ill be in a thread like this offering advice to some other new comer.

Same applies if you have a phone. You know, those little things that used to have antennas on them. Hehe.

Thanks for hosting the call last night.

Useful info and cool people!

Top tip: getting drunk at aff parties = monies!

Sounds like I need to pay more attention to the newbie section. Bofu2U, you still having these conference calls?

im down for a conference call.. lemme know when the next one is bofu u kno my numba gurlllll

Thanks, that's exactly what I was looking for. Do you have any suggestions on which computer classes would be the best investment for someone trying to do this type of work?
Having been in the same boat, my best advice to you is to learn as much html as you can before starting affiliate marketing. A background in the most basic coding is a lot of help when you're trying to sort out the vagarities of SEO et al. Now that I know this myself, far more makes of what I read sense to me.

In addition, you should read up on the way the business works, leaving ppc for last. IMHO, you shouldn't try ppc until you understand the business, how sites are put together and how traffic can be generated organically using search.

All this takes months of reading. At least, it did for me, and I still consider myself a noob. Or you could be more headstrong and dive right in without accumulating a lot of knowledge, which will cost you if you're going to attempt ppc. It's a complex business, and I personally would learn as much as possible before starting.

You don't need a computer class. Coding languages can be self-taught.

Good luck bro.

Dam I wanna listen in too! I am still a newbie, trying to learn some new stuff!

I'll post tons of boob pics for the help. :cool2:

Absolutely correct. I learned HTML in 1997 and by far that skill has helped tremendously.

Still learning PHP and MySQL though... :conehead: *sigh... the learning never, ever stops.
