I used to Rick Roll a friend of mine all the time, and at first, he obviously didn't understand the joke. Eventually though, he caught on and would try to rick roll me back but was never too successful.
One night it's like 4am and I'm fast asleep. My phone rings and I answer it still half asleep. When I put my ear to the receiver, all I heard was "Never gonna give you up, never gonna let down...". I was like FUCK. Rick rolled via phone at 4am.

Dude, just edit your hosts file, or block it in your proxy or firewall, or something. It's really not that hard to avoid.
