whats up guys, now that college is starting back up I don't have the time to devote to managing my employees, orders, etc. What are your experiences on hiring a VA to do these tasks? Do you prefer to pay per hour or % of total monthly revenue?

I've never done this before, but I just don't have the time to multitask right now...

I know it's dumb... but my business is starting to grow more rapidly. That mixing with school is a bad combo, so I need to hire a VA/project manager. Just looking for some feedback from you guys

Who needs schooling if they have a business growing rapidly?
Growing rapidly doesn't mean I'm banking, just means it's starting to grow at a decent speed. It's still brand new, but the pace is picking up.

train a buddy /someone you trust to do it on a % base, or monthly, w/e u or they want
Thanks for the tip. I've been looking into this, but most people my age seem to be lazy.

i would avoid offering % of revenue as much as possible if they are just going to be a project manager. if they are actively growing your business for you, sure, but if it's just like a fixed sort of deal, it should be a fixed payment.

think about it -- if you start to ball out and they are still doing the same dinky job but making 10x as much as they should...that would suck.

Lol I'm betting these PMs are from people that want to do this for you - then take all your stuff and do it themselves. I would never trust anyone on an affiliate marketing forum with keywords or managing any of my campaigns. Maybe I'm a little more skeptical, but that's just me. My lists are far too valuable to get jacked.

What I'm in the process of doing is outsourcing it to someone who knows nothing. I'm teaching this woman everything I do and how I want her to manage it. Its going to take a few weeks of training but she'll get it. Loyal ones will work for a few bucks an hour and if you give bonuses, they'll love you. PM me if you beed any help. No I will not do it for you.

You expect someone to manage an aff business without rev share and NOT rip it off?

...good luck bros

Definitely. You can find a good -_- from the Phillipines if your good enough at searching for the right one. You must not be looking in the right place.

^^^This is very important, read again. Always hire someone who doesn't a know a fuck about your business. You dont need a genius at affiliate marketing to manage people. A genius would take ur business with him and a dumbass will work with you for years

I've seen AM companies with dozens of people buying traffic and more who were all capable and taught secrets, yet they stay employed.

It can be done.

Surprisingly, there are quite a few capable project managers on the outsourcing sites. Don't go pinching pennies and you just might get a good one.

School is not going anywhere... your business is...

Hmm, what to do? :food-smiley-010:

Just realized I was still getting advice in this thread. Thanks everyone, I'll reassess my alternatives and go from there.

doesnt sound like a bad idea to me, just get a non-disclosure/non-compete agreement if your paranoid

also keep in mind that if you actually posted the blue print to your business on this forum, while it would be suicide.. it would only be from one or two people abusing it, most people lack the ambition to start something from the ground up even when all the thinking has been done for them

if your still scared to outsource, theres still alternatives to cutting down the time you spend on managing your employees. it just takes creative thinking.

you can use collaborative project management scripts like dotproject or other scripts that are more intuitive, so you can get the whole picture at a glance, and assign tasks to your employees from one place (of course this depends on how your business operates)
