Thinking of joining ACN

So my wife sells Scentsy candles and makes a fair amount of extra cash with very little work. I watched her progress and thought it was a shame there was nothing I could do similar but for men. Then I was introduced to ACN. I work in IT and I understand the technology of it all. The price point for home phone and internet is very competitive for my area. I feel I could sell this to friends and family easy, without it being a scam, it seems like a really good deal. The only down fall is $500 to join. My wife's co-worker is getting the service in a week so I'm going to go to her house and test the shit out of it to confirm its good quality internet and phone. In my town the fastest DSL is 6 meg and its voip phone so both are running over the line at once. If my test sucks I'm not joining if its good I'm joining.

I probably won't sell the security, energy or cell phones very much but I know I can get the internet and phone. In Canada we have very low max download limits on say a $50 home internet plan and people with Netflix are getting killed on overages, but the ACN plan is unlimited so it will be easy to sell.

Anyone here have any history with the company? I get the whole pyramid thing, I'm fine with it. It's legal and legit. Your pyramid ends after 7 layers.

If you're going into ACN you'll want to keep your tools ready

oh, I remember a guy who joined ACN some years back... (maybe 5?????)

he lost his house, then moved to a gay sanctuary in NYC.

this was not a joke.

About a decade ago my wife got into a bunch of these MLMs. We even looked into scentscy. It was plainly obvious to me at every single one of these things that these are set up clearly to make the owners unbelievably rich and keep everyone else in it a peon, working as hard as any J-O-B would require, if not much harder. I bet OP's wife had to slave like a dog for months to be able to make any profit that could pay a bill or two.

To this day I still keep thinking of ideas with which I can start my own MLM with... Had some winners in fact... But in the end, I'm just not that evil.

It's like a religion for the desperate and delusional business man.

Just as an update, I never joined and glad I didn't. However my wife makes ok money with very little effort at her candle thing. Christmas time is best. In October /Nov she makes about 3000, with very little effort. Most months its about $300 to 400 doing almost no work. Maybe 3 to 5 hours. So sometimes these things do work. If you consider the above a success. She's too busy to spend more time doing it.

I started a MLM a few years ago, it did great for a while then the economy went to shit. Pocketed a good chunk of change and the "reps" worked hand over fist to make a buck and make me 10. I wished I could start another, I just dont have the ideas.

Most of them make money because they have candle parties and invite their friends and family over. These friends and family feel obligated to buy something and are too nice to say no. I've run a business for 5 years and never tried peddling shit to people I know, it's a really shitty thing to do.

and if a guy tried that, his friends would tell him to get fucked.
