What do you expect out of STS? It's a time suck not really meant for education. As mentioned before this little sliver of WF is a place to meet people and shoot the shit. 1 out of a 1000 posts are going to give you what you want but you need to wade through the shit to find it. The other sections have a ratio of like 1 out of 100 useful threads depending on your intrests and experience levels. It's been said before but the real benefit of WF is the connections you make.

Complaining about polls and bad threads is no different than complaining about a mod it's still complaining. If you want the complaining to stop then stop complaining

I have only known this forum since 2011, but I can prolly count how many times I have been helped on 1 hand, but would not be able to count how many times I have been trolled etc.

I think the only useful thing about this site is the sales section.

Maybe the owner should close the sts section for 5 days of the week or something and only let people post on weekends. That would force people to post useful shit.

Also I actually rank for competetive keywords and have worked with real multi million dollar businesses in SEO so I know the game, but the one time I posted a helpful strategy post in the Traffic and Content section I only got one thanks and 3 'nice post' posts from post whoring Indians.

So, fuck that, but guys like Guerilla and a few others have some good posts in the enlightened members section.

This forum is obviously not the best for SEO discussion, there's at least 2 different forums better for this.

I knew it was "dead" by the time I officially made a user in 2009, but before that some good stuff was being brought up. With discussions on cc processing, premium sms, lead gen, optimization and tracking, bulking email, and traffic sources being a lot of the thread topics there was definitely a duality of meaning in coming here other than just dicking off. I still think this place has had the most serious constituency of actual marketers compared to other im forums despite the decay.

I'm down to contribute some real infos and would like to see it be more than what it is right now too.
