This shit gets out of hand

Now see, if I had been downloading all of their shit for free over the last 13 years I might feel vindicated. But I would never download because it is immoral and reprehensible. After all, I'm not a monster.

Downloading movies, music, and software is a dangerous gateway to downloading more dangerous things like drugs and terrorism.

I'm glad they're looking out for us too.

I 3D printed some crack the other day, and I wish I had never done that. I've ruined my life.

Also, I'm sure Internet crusaders will take this as a personal jab at them to create govt spyware blockers that gives them a flashing fuck you when they attempt to log ze IP.

I think I'm one of the few people who delights in the entertainment, and hopefully mainstream news, media dying. The sooner the better. They're losing control and while they still have some power, they're trying to wrestle some control back.

Piracy should be embraced for no reason other than to say, fuck you, you're a bunch of shit cunts and you enrich no ones lives.

As long as you faggots go out and support all the legit, big-budget sci-fi, fantasy, and zombie movies, I dont' give a damn what else you download.

If you fuck them over too hard, it'll get to the point where it's not an ROI worthy industry any more, and we'll be stuck watching all of our VA's singing and dancing in bollywood movies.

Don't get me wrong, I download a ton of free stuff. I haven't paid for music or a movie since, like, 2004.

That being said, I do think it would probably be appropriate for something to be done so these movie studios and other entertainment companies can at least earn enough revenue to continue putting out there stuff.

Spyware, trojans and crap like that is obviously a no go, but starting with the "fuck you movie studio" kind of stuff is just as bad.

Could you imagine a world without Top Gun, Jay-z, TI, Pulp Fiction, The Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire, etc?

I don't know about you guys, but when I am in a dark place I escaped to those and always came out better after watching a few episodes or listening to some good music. It is therapy to me.

You want to see the alternative? The crap that would be produced without these studios? Go on youtube and check out all those faggot "entertainers" like Jenna Marbles, Smosh and Epic Meal Time. Yea, there shit is free, but it's shit.

I support Tom Cruise and Jay-Z.

Wait, What?

The whole entertainment industry is bullshit.

Look at Jon Young & J Cash they make their money by their fans, online and at shows, they don't need a record label...

That's like saying I'm an amazing writer, but I need the New York Times to publish my work. And you need to pay them $$$$ to read it. Or... You know, I could make my own site, distribute it myself, and still make money.

Loui CK? Or whatever his name is, did this for a comedy video promoted it on Reddit, skipped the ET industry, made $$ on his own..

.....

I feel like the only thing the entertainment industry is doing is spoon feeding you what THEY want you to watch/listen to... Ie stop and listen to what's on the radio.

.....

The only* benefit I can see coming from the ET industry is the funding for big budget movies.. But I have to imagine without them, that money would be in the hands of the movie producers, would be a slow transition though.

Can every amazing writer make their own site, distribute it themselves and still make money...all while spending time perfecting their craft? Does every writer want to do that?

Does it not lend a ton of credibility to the writer if they have an article published in the New York Times? A little prestige?

Would it not make sense for a reader to pay for the privilege of reading quality content that has all been assembled for them? I mean, who has time to go and seek out different sources of reliable information on a daily basis.

Why not just find a writer who has their own site and self publishes? Well, then you are only getting their point of view on a specific subject.

I am just thinking out loud and posting it here. I don't even have the answers to the above...

Did this nigga really just say "Top Gun"?
